These are both tools that I don't have in my set. I have been looking for the jigsaw and recently did some work that required one. Is this a good deal?

I checked the history of the slickdeals forum. looks like 150 is the best price. but this one has no tax. so I think it kind of breaks it even. Im not a pro so this just waht i c.

It is if you want the battery and charger as well as the tools. They don't usually bundle their rapid chargers with these deals so that's a plus.

I purchased these a few months ago and got the chance to use them many times and they're absolutely fantastic. They feel well-built and have plenty of power

Got this from the acme deal back in December great deal was $ 250 for the set if you are selling the fast charger and battery and just need the tools it's a great price, these tools are both awesome HD handy to use

The router is really top heavy, and tippy.

The jigsaw I'm conflicted on...

It functions great. However, certain aspects of it are less than well designed.

I like the light, but wish it had a laser.

The blower on it.... worthless!!! I duct taped a flexible drinking straw to it in order to direct some of the "air" in front of the blade. Not having a good blower makes a cut line and light worthless. (I use the jigsaw on a jig I made and it is awesome and easy to build.

My biggest, and most important of complaints... the bevel foot. It is easy to use, but getting it to stay perfect at 0 is a nightmare. So I'm constantly tweaking it in order to get a straight cut... but it's become so much of a hassle, that I'm likely going to sell it, scrap it, Frankenstein it, or just send it to Atlantis.

All in all... I expected better from Dewalt... especially in their high end tools like these.

It seems these last two years, I've been leaving my yellow behind for blue, red, and green. Dewalt needs to get with it and listen to its users criticisms. The issues Dewalts are having could be easily remedied, but I feel theyve built their name enough, and are now coasting on their reputation alone. Frown

Thanks OP, in for 1. Really just need the router, thinking I'll split and sell the rest. Haven't checked local prices yet, but probably can get $40 for charger, $50 for battery, $150 for jigsaw leaving the router at $49 net which is great. Sound about right?

For history, the buy one get one deals from Lowes and Home Depot have been the better deals...

From Lowes, the Jigsaw (DCS334B) with the 2- 5amp batteries, DCB115 4amp charger and tool bag (DCB205-2CK) with tax was $194.77. Attached is proof.

That made the Jigsaw about $75. The same deal was for the router and other tools, where you could have chosen the jigsaw and router for same money ($97.50 each with tax for me), but still need battery(s) and charger. Or, for about $390 you could have had both jigsaw and router, 4- 5amp batteries, 2- 115 chargers and 2 bags.

But, that was 'history' and the typical holiday sales.

This OP deal is a good deal if you need both... if new to the DeWalt line, most people will probably need more batteries.

Note: For this 118 charger, it charges 20v batteries at 4amps and Flexvolt 60v batteries at 8amps.

I bought this set from FastenersInc for the same price a couple weeks ago and am very pleased. Shipping takes a while, at least relative to modern, amazonian two-day shipping, but no sales tax more than made up for it. Just wish they would send it in an unmarked shipping box instead of the dewalt box.
