This is also true. Though none of those chargers are technically MagSafe certified so the max charging speed will top out at 7.5W vs 15W. The only difference there is how quickly your phone gets back to 100% though so for many cases going the cheaper route is fine
Can you please share the link of the product that you are using? I love this model for travel purposes but price is too high.
The next best options are 1/3rd of the price when they aren't on sale and use USB-C like all non-Apple devices on the planet?
On the genuine Apple magsafe do you know if you use your MacBook 85w charger on it it won't charge at 15w? See how apple want you to be a puppet lol
Just because it CAN charge at that rate based on the power ratings doesn't mean it WILL charge that quickly. If you look at Made for MagSafe specs the magnetic chargers won't charge above 7.5W unless they have the right NFC chip as part of the Made for MagSafe program. So while other chargers are capable of sending the phone 15W of power, MagSafe certified chargers are the only ones that Apple accepts a higher rate from.

That said, you have to ask yourself if that speed is worth the cost. So I agree that it's still too expensive for what it is, even if it's a great product. But it's especially too expensive when it doesn't even include the required brick.

Apple is like $3 more than Amazon, but in my opinion worth it. While Amazon accepts returns, these fakes are so good you may not know you need to return it until it starts a fire or fries your device.
This is correct. I am reading macrumors and other forums to find a nice alternative with this design but so far nothing found with good reviews. I placed an order. Thanks OP.
I know what I am talking about, almost all new aftermarket charger now charge at 15w if you use a 20W after market "PD charger" sigh
You can explain this all you want, I'm telling you as a fact that the Apple device itself won't actually charge at the same speed on normal Qi vs MagSafe but you're not talking about the charge accepted by the phone, you're referencing the wattage outputs by the charging devices itself. Apple throttles down 15W non-MagSafe Qi chargers on their devices.

Good points. Regarding chargers, I bought anker, aukey and ravpower 20w bricks for cheap price and they are good. Also I have aukey 65w dual usbc charger which also works great.
