You can add the code to your account even if you are not in NY, NJ, or TX but don't expect it to work. I can add it in CA but doesn't show during check out.

Dont see why it would be a mistake though, or why ubereats would lose money.. Arent these metropolitan cities expensive to begin with? They still make delivery fees, service fees, and driver gets tip off of these. If they offer to first time customers why wouldnt they offer it again from time to time

I think it's a mistake because the coupon clearly says it's for first time users only. Also, UberEats is eating the cost of this promotion-not the restaurants themselves.
