Plug in the usb cable to your windows 10 pc. It should chime that a device was connected. Windows likely wont have a usb driver. Under "Device Manager" in windows, There will be a device called USB to UART Bridge and will likely be open with an icon stating no driver is installed. Update the driver by pointing it to the unzipped driver folder and it should install. Next run the program,it should automatically read the firmware (mine was 1.33). Click open under download file and point it to the 1.35 bin file and click start download at the bottom.

I still haven't been able to figure out how to program the update 😑
My trusty, but retired, 8500 and 9500 would save me from TWO tickets per day min driving in urban gestapo land (no crime so that's all they do).
There isn't a "beginner" or "advanced" radar detector out there. There's a range that goes from "shit" to "the best". You want "the best". The R7 is up there.

I'm sure you'll buy Radenso Theia for $1000 when it comes out since R7 will not provide adequate protection anymore
