Yes, Purple. But the amount of phone minutes, texts, and data is for the whole year...not per month. It's a great phone for this price.

No, it's LOCKED to TF and requires one year of service to unlock.

I've had my daughters on RedPocket for a couple years now with 0 issues. If you're the sort of person that needs lots of hand-holding from customer support, maybe I wouldn't recommend it. But, like I said, 0 problems.

I've had a few tracfone lines for a few months and I had 1 major problem a couple months ago. One sim card just quit working. Maybe I got lucky, but customer service solved the problem with little effort on my part (took them over an hour before the new sim was working -- lucky I had a spare). Problem free since then. I use this for my "bicycle phone" -- a cheap phone that I can mount on my handlebars and not worry about it breaking. For rock bottom service costs, I recommend tracfone. With their new rewards program (ask somebody for a referral), you can get LOTS of free service with a new account. I have over 3 years free service on two lines from referrals (including some "self referrals" when Target got carried away with a promotion and I got service for no net out-of-pocket cost).

Honestly I just want that phone, unlocked, just under 100$
It's a damn good phone for budget phones
I got an unlocked one for $145 last year, no plan. Cheapest I've seen for the US retail model. Keeping it as a backup to my Edge.

I wouldn't recommend these as a main phone unless you really go nowhere. however, these cheap tracfone plans are great for specific use case. For instance, i have mine permanently in my car as an Android auto phone and a gps tracking on my car 😁

Can I use this phone with T-mobile? Thank you
This is a CDMA phone. No.

Sprint, Verizon, and US Cellular use CDMA. AT&T and T-Mobile use GSM

What I want to know is where I can get a slim, cheap case for this phone, like the one HSN packages with this same phone here: https://www.hsn.com/products/moto...fo/9750600

Everything I've found so far covers up the buttons and is bulky by comparison. Seems odd that a basic $5-$8 case with cutouts for buttons is so hard to find...

Umm, these run on Verizon 4GLTE and give superior cellular coverage than any GSM carrier.

Believe it or not, it works out just fine for a lot of people. Kids, emergency use, older parents, etc

Does this mean I have to buy another month of service in order to have the phone unlock?

Check out the Target deal, if you can find one. I used brickseeker and my son and I both purchased one.

I got this phone from the Slickdeals post about 4 months ago when it was $54.75 on Amazon without any service.

Since it is a DL Tracfone it can be used with other brands of Tracfone services.
It arrived with a Tracfone Verizon SIM card. But I took that out before I turned the phone on.

I have my Safelink SIM card in it and my Safelink is running on T-Mobile.

I don't have any problems with this phone at all.

T-Mobile is super strong where I live.

Here is a case and 2 screen protectors from AMZ for $9.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

I picked up 2 screen protectors alone from Eb.y for $6, so the above is a good price.
