Impossible to sign up for a chase account without a chase account number.

I can confirm this offer is not available to everyone, it is YMMV. I just talked to the CSR. She says it shows 60K points on her end, but 80K is targeted/invited.
CSR is only 60k, CSP is 80k

Edit: I miss read. You mean CSR - customer service rep. I mean CSR - Chase Sapphire Reserve.

Supposedly if you don't qualify for the sign-up bonus it'll be auto-rejected according to chase. I actually hope this is true so they aren't letting those who don't qualify yet (48 month rule) apply anyway.

For me in last Nov, I was denied due to the 48 month bonus rule.

Yes, this has historically been the case with Chase... if you don't qualify for bonus, you won't get approved.

Got the 80k. FYI: Appeared in one chase account under offers. Another chase account showed only 60k.

This is great, thanks OP.

Its live. Theres a link for it. If it shows 80k points after being logged in, youre eligible. You could go to the chase bank too and see what they say. You should sign up in bank anyways to avoid the $95 AF. No she didnt give any other details.

Its also a new offer so it may just not be updated everywhere yet. This just started yesterday...

If you have to log in, or go into the branch to see what they say it's targeted/ymmv not a public offer.

You need to product change/downgrade your CSR to Freedom or FU then wait 30 days, then you can apply for CSP.
Thats a bummer as I just paid the CSR renewal 2/1/21, this deal doesnt seem worth losing $450 over.

Really? You sure? That will probably screw me over cause I had big purchases to make soon.
Few people on DoC said they got approved today after downgrading their Sapphire card a week ago -- you probably only have to wait a week after downgrading

Did they do a hard pull on your credit and then deny you or did the system refuse your app before credit check? If you're not eligible then I don't think they'll do a credit check

(couldn't find original/recent thread on this ... and now this offer is Active )

Chase Sapphire Preferred Earn 80,000 bonus points

Earn 80,000 bonus points after you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 month after account opening,* that's $1,000 in travel rewards when you redeem through Chase Ultimate Rewards®.

Plus, earn up to $50 in statement credits towards grocery store purchases made within your first year from account opening.*

This product is available to you if you do not have any Sapphire card and have not received a new cardmember bonus for any Sapphire card in the past 48 months.

$95 annual fee
I suggest you update the OP with answers to the following important questions:

a) When does this offer expire (if known)?

b) Can someone who already has this card, provide a referral for this card to get bonus referral points? How many referral points does the referrer get?

c) What are easy ways to meet the $4000 spending limit to get 80K bonus points? Does plastiq for paying rent count towards the spending threshold?
