I was told to bring in 2 pieces of ID. If anything I would think you can email them additional documents.
Okay, and did they ask you about your income?

Can I cancel my Reserve today and apply Preferred and get the bonus? I had my Reserve for more than 4 years now.
Don't cancel your card. First move your points from your Reserve to another card (to be safe) and then call Chase to change your Reserve card to a Freedom card. Wait about a week or two and then apply for the preferred. You probably don't have to wait a week or two but the rep I spoke to said to be on the safe side, it's better to wait. Promo should last for a few months since Chase knows people will be spending money soon.

Where do you go to find what airlines accept the 80,000 points to redeem?

I opened Sapphire Reserve in 2019. Have lot of points on it so instead of canceling, I downgraded it in 2020 to no-fee version.

Do I have to cancel it to sign up for new offer? How long do I have to wait?
What's the best option for points on it. I think there is something special about these points. That's why I did not cancel the card in 2020.
This product is available to you if you do not have any Sapphire card and have not received a new cardmember bonus for any Sapphire card in the past 48 months.

Did you have to bring in tax documents to verify your income? I plan on swinging by later but only have my ID with me. What did they ask you? I've never done an application in the branch before. Thanks
They don't ask to verify income. But they did ask for a passport or a green card or a visa.

If you're using Chase's UR portal, you can book practically "any" flight that you'd find on Expedia (I believe that's the search that Chase uses).

But if you're thinking of transferring points to an airline, there is a list here:

I applied like last Thursday through an ebay referral that offered $100 cash to use their link, now this pops up - i emailed chase asking if they would please honor it and they said they would review and get back to me in 2-3 days. Im optimistic, this is on my wifes account but I have had fair luck with them before.

Last time I signed up for this card, they had a 500 bonus after spending 500 before the housing market crashes. The days of cheap credits are here again.

does anyone know, if i have met the spending requirement but subsequently received refunds so i fell below the minimum purchases, however the ultimate reward portal still shows that "congrats you did it, bonus pts will be added in your next statement"

do you think i will still receive the bonus points, or i should charge my card more before the spending period to get the net spending up to the minimum level?

pls advise.

Thanks!!!

The Annual Fee of $95 can be waived first year if you make an appointment to apply for the card in branch if you have them near you.

I mean do you really want to risk it? They have been known to claw back points if you buy a lot, get the points, and then get a refund on a lot of your purchases. Maybe things would be different if it was a few bucks but personally I wouldn't risk it.

So 80,000 points equal $800 cash?

$1200 if you move these points to preferred reserve
