Annoyed that I somehow got two Preferred applications approved since one timed out and I applied again the next day.

Wasn't able to double dip the Reserved as it counted both as 2 applications each and then I was immediately not qualified for it. Called Chase but maybe I can tell them that one of the Preferred cards should be closed and see what happens? Or wait after the Preferred card is closed?

Not a big deal since I would have use the points to offset some of the annual fee but then again they might have not approved anyway since I was at 4/24. So stupid...

Was on the phone waiting for over 40 minutes with lame elevator music and finally reached a live person. Asked some income questions and now the card is in the mail.

I just got the first year waived off at the branch without even asking for it. The person who submitted the application said it's one of the perks of getting your application done at a branch. I had received the 80k points offer in mail and took the letter to the nearest Chase branch.

i was told by the online specialist ove the weekend to apply online and then go to branch . i got approved and today i walked into the branch , i was told they dont see any fee on the card until the end of the year , so can not waive now. is this correct ? also i was told there is no way for me to use the card until i get it ..hmmm, i got a travel planned this weekend and cant use this i suppose

I signed up for the 60k instead of the 80k through the Chase app. last week. I wasn't aware of the 80k promo. I contacted Chase directly and asked if they can switch me to the 80k. They said they can't do anything about it. Any tips?

The offer just started. If you signed up for 60k, you got 60k. They arnt going to upgrade you to 80k for no reason. The offers start when they start. It goes through the computer system and has to have to specific offer code. Dont bother asking them, they arnt going to do it.

Yeah, downgrade to a freedom (or just cancel), wait a week and then apply.

I didn't apply online. I applied at the branch where I got the waiver and also got approved right away.
