Does chase still have the same rule to limit one preferred card? I already have the CSR card

Is there a way to get your chase sapphire preferred card number immediately? Have a $5K purchase on the 23rd

Yes they will add it to Apple Pay then just pay through that.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Chase took a card that rivaled the Amex Platinum and destroyed it in a matter of 12 months. With cards such as the Flex Freedom and the Flex Unlimted, there is no need for the Sapphire Reserve unless you use their travel portal for the additional 50% points. I went back to Amex after 2 years with the CSR card. I actually have both the Amex Platinum (for the 5 points for travel and hotels) and the Amex Gold (for the 4 points on Dining and Supermarkets) at a cost of $800 per year. This seems like a lot, but Amex has so many more bonus point opportunities than Chase. And if you use R@kuten, you can link those points to membership rewards. I have accumulated 220K points in a matter of 5 months. A big portion of the points came from bonus categories that Chase doesn't really offer. In full disclosure, I also received 100k in sign up points. So really I have accumulated 120K in points in 5 months which is still pretty good.

I don't know your life situation but I saw that with the amex platinum card you can add additional users with a gold card for free. Wouldn't you be able to pay the annual fee with the platinum card and then have your spouse get a no annual fee gold card. This way it's only $550 annually.

This is the situation I'm thinking of doing. Wondering if I'm looking at it wrong.

For those who don't travel, how are you using the point? what's the best way to use those 80k points?

Cancelled my Chase Sapphire Reserve last year after NO "Retention offer" for my account. Waiting for 100000 points to reapply Chase Sapphire Reserve.
I have Chase Sapphire Reserve currently, would you think the same deal we had in 2016 would come back again? (100k points). If they have that offer again, would they not have only new customers (not past-closed customer)?

Pay yourself back is a great way to get an extra 25% back. Currently works on groceries, restaurants, and one other category. I think that's good through the and of this month.

Thanks. I just called instead of messaging them. They said I'll get it within 1-2 business day.

I received an email right after about "we are processing your replacement Card request". I hope didn't mess-up my promotion offers. I didn't want them to replace it. I just want them to expedite the shipment.

I got the same email and was slightly confused, but it might just be a standard auto message. I think it'll be fine. Even if it were a replacement lost card, promotion should be intact.

My 2 cents:

- Currently have Chase Marriott and IHG cards (For several years), no other banking relationship
- in-branch (very new one I might add), they said that the only card that waives AF for 1st year is this one
- Initially they were cautious about matching the online offer (said their offers might differ) but the online offer came up verbatim (as in he read off everything just like I was looking at the website)
- Application was easy as existing customer, just needed a license and existing Chase CC, they already had SSN, etc.
- Got approval within 10 sec or so, CSR said sometimes it takes "few days". Only got CL of $4800 (IIRC, as I had 3 kids with me and I was more interested in leaving), which is a bit odd - other Chase CC's are like $25k/ea, my FICO is 820+ with generous income, multiple other CC's but last time I applied for one was probably 4-5 years ago.
- CSR said the timeframe for the bonus spend is from today (e.g. application/approval)

Too bad this didn't come up around a month ago when I had to pay off a Disney vacation... would've been an easy promo to hit.

I'm pretty sure the gold card they give you is not the same as a regular gold card. My wife has one and she just adds to my points on my platinum account. It also isn't metal like the regular one.
