You don't spend $4k in 3 months organically? REALLY?
No. Not really.

In fact- not only did I never claim that, I claimed the opposite of it.

Explicitly.

Taxes are a source of additional spend on top of your organic spend to do additional signup bonuses beyond the normal organic spend ones

You make additional profit doing this compared to how much you'd make only relying on organic spend.

If your organic spend means you can do 4 signups a year, this means you can do 5 (or 6 or 7).... If your organic spend means you can do 12 signups a year, this means you can now do 13 (or 14 or 15 or whatever based on size of tax bill).

All extra profit above your normal organic spend.

Rather than retype why you're wrong, with detailed math, a third time I'll just suggest you actually read the post you replied to this time.

(that's on top of the fact you can easily make paying a 1.99% fee profitable even if you did NOT get ANY signup bonus- math already detailed for you in my first reply)

I have Chase Sapphire Reserve. If I close that account, will I be eligible for the welcome bonus?

You are eligible for a sapphire signup bonus if it's been more than 48 months since your last sapphire bonus was earned.

When you opened or closed the cards in question is irrelevant to that (other than it can't be currently open when you apply for the new one)

is the annual fee waived if applied in branch?

Yes, I went to bank yesterday(Saturday) to apply for this card. And the fineprint explicitly mentioned that :"0$ intro annual fee(branch only offer)" So I would assume for anyone applying at the bank there won't be an annual fee for the first year ( I don't have).

However if they do have that fee, you can politely request to get it waived and I'm sure they would try to accommodate that request

Thanks - does this require a existing chase relationship

I do have an existing chase credit card.

But the rep pulled the fineprint first and was walking me through all the interests rates and benefits before pulling up my existing account information. So I would assume this is applicable to everyone

Thanks. I just called instead of messaging them. They said I'll get it within 1-2 business day.

I received an email right after about "we are processing your replacement Card request". I hope didn't mess-up my promotion offers. I didn't want them to replace it. I just want them to expedite the shipment.

I am also in the same boat. I applied at the bank and asked for expedite shipping, they agreed for that, but I haven't received the card today, so I've called chase and verified what's happening. The rep said it was sent as an regular mail. So I requested for overnight shipping and they agreed for it.

Soon after I have received similar email. I jumped into my chase online account and I see a new number instead of the old number for the card, but the rewards are stl intact. So rest assure that our rewards are safe(you can check them in your online account).

I guess now we will receive two cards one that is expedited and the one that is mailed earlier. If you wish to destroy the old card. You need to send that back to chase (they will send you a prepaid envelope along with your recently shipped card) as it is a metal card and we can't just simply shredd it(unless you have the tools to do so)

How soon are the points usable? as soon as you spend $4000? or at the end of the 3 months?

Usually posts after the closing date of the statement on which you complete the 4k spend.

if I'm not rejected, I should be eligible for the 80k points, right? I had the Sapphire Reserve 100k points around 4 years ago, so had to guess if I might be outside that window

I got mine expedited and it arrived within 2 days, super fast. I needed to reserve flights and hotels 🏨so I made the request. Chase has been great so far.

I am not sure when I got the last Sapphire signup bonus; maybe it has been over 4 years but it is just about that time as well. How can I check on this?
And how can I check on a number of previous Chase cards that I had and when I closed them to know that I will be approved for this card and bonus offer?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Anyone know how $50 groceries work? Just use the card for groceries and it will automatically give us statement credit up to $50?
