Any other suggestions.
Thanks
but it looks like its a better deal to refer them since i get 15k points and i can just pay them the 95 dollars... and looks like i come up with 55 more dollars and in points which i find more valuable
any errors in my train of thought?
After a year you can just downgrade to one of the useful no annual fee cards (freedom being the most useful if you're someone who doesn't travel significantly)

The max value of Chase Ultimate Rewards is 1.25 cents per points, period.
I went to the branch, asked them if the annual fee is in fact waived and once confirmed, was able to sit with a banker, who used my Chase bank account information to submit the application form on my behalf.
"You have been approved for the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card. You will receive your new card, a paper copy of your Cardmember Agreement and other important disclosures in 3 to 5 business days" Any one gotten the annual fee waived by calling in?
