Warning for anyone doing this - I clicked through as directed. I saw the save 15% button. I never got an option to enter a promo code and was immediately billed $100. It could be because I was already on a free month, but be VERY careful to go through with this because you may end up charged $100 immediately.
Calm down and help the person instead of jumping down their throat
I highly recommend people DON'T get this service. Don't support this kind of splitting of resources. If you want every TV station to have their own paid for subscription, that's what you are supporting when you pay for this. If you want a more centralized system (Netflix, Hulu, etc) then let these experiments fail.

Conversely, I HATED Picard. Patrick Stewart should be embarrassed for being involved in that poorly written rape of Star Trek.
Considering how much I liked STTNG, I was surprised how long it took me to get through Picard. After watching a number of episodes, I just wasn't that excited about it. I guess I'm more of a fan of the Trek with a whole story in each episode. I'd rather not have a story arc through a bunch of episodes.

I love shows with an overall arc, but there a difference between that and Picard. In good shows, like Buffy, Angel, Breaking Bad, Heroes season 1, and others, each episode contains a complete story, AND they contribute on some level to the overall arc. In Cinema, look at Lord of the Rings. Each of three movies tells a complete story, yet each is an integral part of a larger whole.

Picard doesn't do that. Not one episode contains a complete story. And the producers are proud of this fact, claiming they made "a ten hour long movie!" The problem is... Movies aren't ten hours long for good reason, and neither should TV shows be. It's a a fundamental error in their storytelling.

We're lucky, we have Spectrum Choice $25 and for $15 a month we get Showtime Anytime, HBO Max, Starz, Encore, and The Movie Channel. We're also getting free Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+ and Discovery+ through our Verizon Unlimited plan.

We do pay for Netflix, Amazon, this Paramount+ deal, and Peacock w/ commercials. Hope to cancel Peacock, but my son started watching "The Office" and "Brooklyn 99".

I got it and the programming is sub par. They are lucky that my kids like sponge bob and all the other Nick shows. I don't see me renewing this past the year subscription. The lack of adult programming will get me through all of their content before the year is over.

All of a sudden cable channels are going the + route, I mean what's the sense in cutting the cord if you're just gonna end up paying more in channel subscriptions?, I personally think that people shouldn't be buying into these money grabbing schemes .

It's better than the cable money grabbing scheme. Plus, no commercials on most of these networks. You're not supposed to constantly stay subscribed to them. Sub to one for a couple of months, watch all the content, then unsub and sub to a different one, repeat process.

Has anyone gotten to the end of the 7 day trial and confirmed they were only billed $49, or $29 for the w/ commercial option?

My confirmation shows %50 off but still says the full price.

Good deal, got tired of using new email addresses to resign up with my sportsline. I'm going to keep account active so I can keep the live local CBS on the commercial plan after the June update to 5 a mo. Thanks OP.

FWIW I have a $3 back "when you spend $5.99 or more" at Paramount+ on my Chase Marriott Bonvoy credit card. Expires 4/12. Only $3 but WTH if you're spending the money anyway.

woohoo, missed out on the 50% off initial deal and was going to pay full price after my 30 days trial. i'm happy to see they have all of the episodes of survivor and the real world
If you are looking for Survivor, check Pluto TV or Hulu if you have a subscription.

I am a huuuge TNG fan and so far I haven't really warmed up to ST Picard or ST Discovery. Seems to me that the new ST series are trying too hard to be edgy and action packed. I too prefer the episodic format of the original TNG than giant story arcs.

I can confirm it worked for me. Showed 50% off when I signed up, and I was billed $29.99 today for limited commercials after my trial was up.

Great deal for someone who has time to watch so many shows. I won't waste any money on any of streaming services other than YouTube.

I think the problem many people have is that they're expecting the new shows to be just like how TNG was. People's viewing habits have changed over time and they tend to binge, hence the episodic storytelling. If you accept that the new Star Treks are not the same as the ones we grew up with, they're pretty excellent shows. And if you like the episodic sci-fi, The Orville does a very good TNG impression, especially in season 2.

To avoid customer service. Upgrade to one year for $99. You will get charge immediately. Put in code YEAR after upgrade. Next year will be at 50% off. That is what customer service told me and it worked.
