That's what they told me. Paid $99.74 for this year (had 1 day credit for $4.99 a month left on expiring 2 month deal) and will pay $49.99 for next year. I called the 800 number on their website.

Just TV shows
Normally I wouldn't but if price goes up in a year and there is no promo I will be happy about it. They said it is locked in at the $49.99. Also I missed a bunch of seasons of The Real World and The Challenge. They are guilty pleasures of mine. I could just download off torrent sites but it is easier to stream.
You do what you want, of course, but there is objectively no advantage to you if you pay $100 this year and $50 next year rather than $50 this year and maybe $100 next year IF there's no promotion. Mind you, people are saying that existing customers can add this 50% off annual sub to their next billing cycle, so you could probably just lock in a 2nd year at $50 now (assuming the promotion is still available to you) if you really like the service and want to future proof yourself from price increases.
IMPORTANT: The default Promo Code on the very bottom of the Payment page is PARAMOUNT, but you have to change it to YEAR, then hit "Apply." You can do all of this *before* entering an payment information toward the top of that same page. It will clearly say "Discount: 50% off 12 months"
That is, no issues. Everything makes clear that 50% off the $99 annual plan will be applied.
Email confirmation:
"Plan: Commercial Free (Annual)
Your payment method will be billed $99.99 on a recurring basis when your trial expires on Mar 23, 2021.*
Coupon: 50% off for 12 months has been applied. For your updated billing amount and trial ending date, please visit your account page."

Payment method is PayPal, and $1 pending charge on that credit card used.
Hope that helps!

Coupon: 50% off for 12 months has been applied. For your updated billing amount and trial ending date, please visit your account page."
and a second one that says...
"Your Paramount+ trial or introductory offer is ending in 7 days, and your credit card will be charged $59.99 on Apr 8, 2021. Moving forward, your subscription will automatically renew at the aforementioned rate per year."
My paramount account also says in subscription & billing that price is $59.99 and discount says 50% of 12months and payment will be with paypal.
So I just wanted to check to see they should charge me the correct amount of (59.99-50%) =30$. Thanks

Yes, I confirm that I was only billed $49.99 on 03/24 (i.e., 50% of $99.99).
