I like these compared to the pros and plus, its nice not having any inner ear pressure once youve got the hang of how they go in your ear. Battery not as good as plus though. At low volume you can hear around you but not fully. ANC is non existent it will only quiet low hums that you didnt notice were there until there gone. Hope that makes sense. I can wear these the longest out of all three for sure though

Thanks OP. Didn't buy two sets when the Buds+ had the really good deal.

Those mentioning range, maybe you have defective units. The Buds+ I got for my wife have excellent range. She'll leave her phone in the kitchen and walk about the house without reception loss. She'll even go into the basement and upstairs. It's an 1,100 sq ft house built in the 50's.

Just want to chime in as well. I have never had those problems with the pluses I have. They seem to have decent range. Used with my note 9, tab s6, and now s7+.

Thanks. Price seemed too good to be true. Surprised they can get away with it if they are truly based in San Francisco as they claim.

I'm still going back and forth on these, I recently lost my airpod Pros and was looking for a reasonable replacement without spending a boatload. SQ is most important to me, noise cancellation second. From the reviews I've seen, ANC is near nonexistent.

Any input is appreciated.

My account is showing up with Education Discount and proper price shows on the product page but when I checkout it reverts to $110. Probably something wrong with the verification on my account since my friend's account shows properly at checkout.

Don't get them for ANC. If airpods pro are what you're used to, get buds pro. Open ear design vs closed and plugged truly are apples and oranges for use case scenario

This is by the far the most disappointing headphone I ever bought and I own AirPod Pro, original Buds and other Sony/Philips headphones. I bought it in Black for $65 (tax included) on the previous deal. Got it on Tuesday and after two days testing, returned it today.

It is certainly smaller than Buds but I don't find it is particularly more comfortable compared to Buds except the fact there are not ear tips for Live. You will certainly be aware of the fact there is nothing on your ear canals. I find the audio quality is borderline average and actually worse than Buds and terrible compared to AirPod Pro. The soundstage seems to be rather "background-ish" meaning the audio sounds farther away. I guess it is the effect of not having ear tips. The ANC is pretty much non-existent compared to AP Pro. The thing that is a deal beaker for me is the Bluetooth range and its connection quality. My original Buds has the same issue whenever I go to the kitchen which is like 10 to 15 feet away, the audio is breaking up badly. The Live is only a bit better on that regard and still not having a good connection it seems. I tested with AP Pro and a 5-years-old Philips headset (which I intended to trade-in funny enough) and they work fine. Admittedly, there is a thick wall in between but if a crappy Philips headset works then I expect Live to work as well.

Just want to share my own experience for folks who want to know.

I have the Bud+ and they are good. I left my phone in the garage and was in the powder room (so more like 20 feet away w 3 doors in between), damn thing still works.

Thank you for taking the time to write this, it saved me the hassle of buying and returning these! I appreciate the feedback. My search continues.

Thanks. You are correct about requiring a screenshot. Took a bit of work to get that $5 back lol. The rep couldn't see the lower price and had to consult a "level 2" rep. He approved the adjustment after I sent the screenshot.

I took a snapshot of the 54.99 in the cart also showing date/time on the side of my laptop. Perfectly the item shipped that day. I'm supposedly getting the refund in a couple of days. I took down the chat reference number. 5 dollars is better then nothing!

Out of curiosity does anyone know Samsung's returns policy on the buds. Is there a return processing fee? Having doubts about color. Thank you

Seems to me people misunderstand what they are used for. In my case I work from home and the kids have school at home. I listen to audiobooks but frequently have to suddenly pause them to talk to kids or my wife etc. much better than the pro or plus for that use case. One could certainly swap out the audiobook for music but if you don't get interrupted frequently and are on the move the AirPods or buds are better, and if you plan to listen for long stretches in a stationary position without interruption obviously just use a quality traditional headphone.

I disagree with your assessment. If the instances of having to pause to listen was the issue, you would just have ambient noise on, which is supported already in buds and buds plus and I assume pro too.

Purchased, got a confirmation, but it looks like they are currently out of stock on the mystic bronze. They haven't cancelled the order yet
