Great price. Bought one from dwr last year. If you are looking for the classic look, you will need to purchase the black MCL leather from dwr. If you're also over 6ft tall, you need the tall version. This is the full grain leather, standard height

It's an iconic chair that is obscenely expensive for what it is. I bought mine lightly used off craigslist for 2250. I recommend shopping around first.

I still feel regret for spending that much lol.

You have to realize that this is not A lounge chair, this is THE lounge chair.
It's very famous (watch any TV show, movie etc), it's part of MoMA design collection, it has a cult following and it might as well be a piece of art you can use as a seating.

Is it more comfortable or better made compared to knock-offs? No, not much.
Will it lose 50% of its value right away? Yes.
Can you buy the original chair somewhere else cheaper? Probably, no.

Anyone have any recommendations on a quality, comfortable replica? Love the style of the Eames but just can't stomach this much for a chair - it's as much as the quote I have to paint my house!

Someone earlier in the thread mentioned an eBay seller that no longer carries them, and there's so many crap versions out there, it seems like just picking one and hoping it's good isn't likely to have good results. Any recommendations?

one of my boss have this chair in his office and he have it in his office almost 10 year. Tbh it is a god dam comfy. I can sleep on it
