At this price, why not get a CX?

No HDMI 2.1. That's $2000 for an already outdated product and it's the entry level from 2020.

I had both and I can tell you way better. Enjoy lg for gaming but everything else is Sony. 99 percent of people who do not game will never need hdmi 2.1

Rtngs gives you numbers but it can't tell the subjectivity in watching items. It's like buying a car. Great one gets you 0-60 faster another has better build quality but the one you buy is the one you like. Unless you buy cars unseen just on specs.

That said, does the LG still not upgrade the OS when the next version is released? I think the Cx is v6. So it should be good for 4-6 years.

That's my only concern. If you don't game do you need hdmi 2.1? How much 4k content do we watch at 120fps? Just use this one and upgrade to a hdmi 2.2 tv in 3-4 years
