I've been wanting a 34in curved screen and I was inbetween this and Vio-tek for $349.
Vio has a 3 year warranty on their monitors so was leaning toward that. Is the curvature at 1500r too much for multitasking and excel? I will be using this mostly for work. Does monoprice have a huge advantage that i would want to pay $50 more for this?

How does 3440x1440 compare to 4k? Noticeable difference?

The resolution is less dense on this display but it is comparable to having two side by side monitors in one. You have a ton of real estate to have two or three windows side by side- excel, web browsing, text editors... I have an ultrawide Alienware this size and a 27" 4K LG next to it and I do most of my work on the ultrawide. Obviously they are great for gaming as well.

Terrible black smearing, even after waiting 3 months for a replacement. HDR has also been a miserable experience, but that's HDR 400 for you. I would have returned it if not for the $315 Newegg sale.

On their website. I just added a monitor from Monoprice to my cart and it looks like you get the red card discount even when shipped/sold by a third party (or at least Monoprice). I did not know that until just now.

I wouldn't be too reliant on vio tek's warranty. I've seen too many cases of them ignoring claims.

1500R is fine for multitasking and Excel. Honestly I prefer it to the others I've seen.

The Vio has a little slower response time and doesn't support 144hz refresh rate. If you're a gamer and those 2 things matter to you then I'd go with the Monoprice monitor. If you're mostly doing work and don't need those 2 things then the Vio will be fine, but I'd personally still go for the Monoprice one if you can afford it.
