I found The newest ARRIS SURFboard DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem on sale at there online store for $169 before tax. This is cheaper than i found it anywhere else at $199.99.

This is a savings of $30.99 or 15.5% off the original price.

I did not see an expiration date but i am sure they will go quick.

Have a wonderful day!

For the record if you have cable you need a DOCSIS 3.1 modem. I know there are some high end DOCSIS 3.0 modems but the cable companies will never push them past 400-600mbps because of the overhead (lack of compression) for their networks. You only need this if you are going beyond 1GB internet. Then you have to have 2.5gb ports on your computer. If you have wifi only this will not benefit you.

It's future proof and the price is right but only if you run ethernet to your computer.

This a good price for a great modem. Best Buy sold it at this price for the first month it came out, then it jumped to $199 everywhere. I think it's a hot seller

Make it black and flat so I can lay it down on a cantilever shelf on my network rack and I'll buy one.

Sounds about right for 32 x 8 but I doubt it goes much higher. It says "up to 3.5 Gbps" but those are never to be trusted as you want to know what it can handle stable at your home

Personally I spent $70 on a Motorola 24x8 modem that runs stable at at least 600+, saved $100 and called it a day. I'd rather apply that money towards a better plan with no cap

Do people buy these to avoid modem fees? I know Charter Spectrum's service includes a modem at no extra charge.

So does this new model work better then the last gen 3.1 arris (SURFboard SB8200) supposedly it was something with the chips they used, customers experiencing disconnects and errors. So I'm going to assume they they fix that with making a new model 3.1 with a new chip? They should do free upgrades for those that bought the last gen arris 3.1 (SURFboard SB8200)

The MB8611 and the S33 are roughly equivalent but the S33 has a second 1GB port. Both have one 2.5 GB port.
