I've had the blue one for about a month or so and I like it very much. The track pad is garbage, otherwise I don't have much to complain about. Oh, the power button is where "delete" goes so expect to punk yourself a few times.

I like the feel of it, the metal feeling lid helps it not feel super cheap.

I use it for prepping 3d models for my printer, and it's very good at what I ask it to do.

BTW it does charge via USB c despite it saying data only.

Tested laptop out on game and it's a bit meh but that is expected. However, after boosting TDP to 25 with Ryzen Controller, I got nearly 50% boost in FPS. The laptop does heat up as expected after couple hours of gaming but still under 85c. Already ordered a laptop cooling fan and MX-5 thermal paste to help with that. This is becoming a fun side lil project.
Can you say what you did to get the ryzen controller working? It keeps giving a ryzenadj error. Does that need to be be installed separately?

On another note a 512GB SK Hybix p31 nvme did not work and was not detected in either slot.

I just bumped up the TDP to 35 watts to see if any changes would take hold. That's when it gives me the ryzenadj error.

I'm running Windows 10 LTSC if that matters. Maybe they stripped out somethung I need?

From what I read, the max TDP one should bump up to is 25 for this laptop. Maybe try that and see if it hold.

As for Win 10 LTSC, that I'm not sure since I just run the version that came with the laptop.

I tried it today and I got ryzenadj error unable to apply .

There is a dependency missing. It turns out ryzenadj needs Visual C++ Redistributable library 2015.

Also, he said he set TDP to 25W but I think he meant 35W. The cTDP range is listed as 12-35W. It seems the laptop is set at 25W so if you want more power you need to set it higher than 25W.

https://www.amd.com/en/products/a...en-5-3450u

UPDATE: Tried 30W and it is producing a lot of heat but it is doable. I will consider repasting in the future. Found a good video explaining the OC settings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brKFHhQi6Sk&t=0s

Yes, m.2 SATA SSD drives work fine however m.2 NVME SSD compatibility is poor.

One person reported they got 256GB Samsung Pro 960 NVME working on primary port only but other NVME drives do not seem to work.

Anyone would you please help take a picture of the AC Adapter? VIPOutlet sent me a SAW30A-120-2000U Adapter with the GWTN156-1BK laptop. This adapter has a 12V output therefore it does not charge the laptop (needs 19V input voltage). They sent me the same wrong adapter as a replacement, and now they don't respond to me after I told them they sent me the wrong adapter again.
Once I know the model number of the correct AC adapter, I can buy one myself from somewhere else.
My laptop is out of battery now without a charger, so please help. Much appreciated.

Is that the Intel model? If so, you can charge the laptop over usb-c, which is much easier to find and probably cheaper. Any 45w usb-c PD charger should work.

I can't find anywhere where you can buy exact replacement, including the support website. However this may help.

According to this https://gatewayusa.com/support.html you can ask for a replacement if you hear buzzing sounds from your adaptor. Just email to [email protected] and ask for a replacement or ask for a way to buy one. I suspect that they are likely to send you one for free because they are not selling them separately. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Yes it's the Intel model.
The AC adapter doesn't appear to be available so I guess I'll get a USB-C charger.
Thanks bro!

Thanks so much! Same here I couldn't find the exact model anywhere, but I'll go ahead and try to contact Gateway directly.
Will update here whether they'll respond, and/or any outcome.

Finally got this working. The empty slot will not take M.2 NVMe drives, only M.2 SATA drives. I bought an NVMe and it wouldn't work even though I tried fiddling with the BIOS. I then bought this; Crucial MX500 500GB 3D NAND SATA M.2 (2280SS), which worked perfectly. The BIOS automatically recognized it, and I had to run Disk Manager on Win10 to configure it.
