If you don't see your Model listed which was the case for me Click on Instant Chat. I got a live human being. I told her my Model Number was GWTN156-5BL and she said that the drivers are the same as GWTN156-2. I also had to give her my serial number.
Lastly I asked about the SSD slots, and here's the response I got.
Main slot is PCIe/SATA with a max drive of 256
Secondary slot is SATA with a max drive of 256
For a max total of 512
Please post your, if you were able to stuff a bigger drive into either slot.
I've had the blue one for about a month or so and I like it very much. The track pad is garbage, otherwise I don't have much to complain about. Oh, the power button is where "delete" goes so expect to punk yourself a few times.
I like the feel of it, the metal feeling lid helps it not feel super cheap.
I use it for prepping 3d models for my printer, and it's very good at what I ask it to do.
BTW it does charge via USB c despite it saying data only.
Dude. Just click the link and look.

Is that the Intel model? If so, you can charge the laptop over usb-c, which is much easier to find and probably cheaper. Any 45w usb-c PD charger should work.
Yes it's the Intel model.
The AC adapter doesn't appear to be available so I guess I'll get a USB-C charger.
Thanks bro!
I can't find anywhere where you can buy exact replacement, including the support website. However this may help.
According to this https://gatewayusa.com/support.html you can ask for a replacement if you hear buzzing sounds from your adaptor. Just email to [email protected] and ask for a replacement or ask for a way to buy one. I suspect that they are likely to send you one for free because they are not selling them separately. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
Thanks so much! Same here I couldn't find the exact model anywhere, but I'll go ahead and try to contact Gateway directly.
Will update here whether they'll respond, and/or any outcome.
Finally got this working. The empty slot will not take M.2 NVMe drives, only M.2 SATA drives. I bought an NVMe and it wouldn't work even though I tried fiddling with the BIOS. I then bought this; Crucial MX500 500GB 3D NAND SATA M.2 (2280SS), which worked perfectly. The BIOS automatically recognized it, and I had to run Disk Manager on Win10 to configure it.

Yes in my case I plugged a Samsung 960 Pro 256GB NVME drive to the main M.2 port, and plugged the original FORESEE M.2 SATA 256GB to the 2nd empty slot on the back. The main port takes NVME no problem, but the 2nd port only takes M.2 SATA drives.

Thanks! Were there any issues with drive letters switching, or booting from the wrong drive, etc? If there wasn't then you certainly have the best configuration! Thanks again!
About Microsoft Office.. Does it comes with a trial version and do I have to uninstall and get another version if looking for a cheaper alternative? Thanks

Thanks. It's a bit tricky to make this config work. Had to boot from a Windows 10 21H1 USB flash drive and delete all partitions on the FORESEE SSD, then fresh install the OS on the Samsung NVME. Windows installer assigned DISK 1 to Samsung on the main M.2 port, and DISK 0 to the FORESSEE ssd on 2nd M.2 port on the back.
After installation, had to find and format the FORESEE ssd in disk management utility. After than everything works great.
Yes they responded to me last Thursday requesting my ordering info, invoice and a picture of the Gateway logo/SN number on the back. I sent everything over but haven't heard from them since then.
Oh, also VIPOUTLET finally agreed to send me the correct AC adapter after I send the picture to them (thanks gandalftw again for posting the picture here). I also ordered a 65W AUKEY usb-c PD charger and that worked charging the laptop via USB-C. So now I would have both the AC adapter and the USB-C charger as a backup.

Did they ever respond to you?
Update: the customer support rep did not respond to my email further after I sent them the materials they requested. Today when I got home a package was left at my front door and it was the correct AC Adapter for my laptop.
So yes Gateway USA customer support does exist and function, although a bit slow in response.
The computer itself works great too.
Best deal I've scored for a nice laptop.

That's great to hear, they were OK with the vipoutlet invoice showing that it was a refurbished product? I might have to try the same thing!
lol
I was honestly not expecting they would actually send a charger to me. The VIPOUTLET invoice doesn't even have my name on it and looks like a fake PDF document. I didn't think any manufacturer would care about refurbished product.
I guess I just got lucky
And yes I now have 3 working chargers, including one USB-C charger. Also, I have two other chargers (the SAW30A-120-2000U chargers with 12V output voltage) sitting in my drawer that don't fit my laptop
Well. Ordered one of these on 4/25 at $379 before they completely went OOS. Got it in today and find out it's got a dead pixel in the screen. Currently trying to get an RMA with gateways warranty department and hoping they've got a replacement.
