Alright folks, as requested I created a video with a step-by-step to replace the front fan and repaste the RTX 3080 GPU. The temps in my machine decreased from 110 degree memory junction down to 76 degrees following these relatively simple mods. Not too bad.

I'm not a youtuber, simply created this video for your benefit to maximize the performance of the unit. Here is a link:
https://youtu.be/YklybEdoKIM
"Dell Aurora R12 RTX 3080 Repaste and Fan optimization - Easy 30 degree temp difference fix!"

Enjoy.
You and everyone else. Everyone coming to slickdeals and posting these 3080 deals from dell don't understand that they will not actually ship.

I've done it twice now. Both times they delayed my shipment every month. My first order took 5 months of delays before they finally cancelled and gave me a crappy 10% coupon that expires in June. Everyone on reddit knows not to bother posting these dell builds because dell doesn't ship. They simply take your payment information, add you to their mailer list, sell your information to other companies, cancel your order and enjoy the profits of their farmed mailer list of people who want the latest technology.

Dell is trash tier right now, hell I'd even trust Newegg over Dell when it comes to 3080 products, and that's embarrassing to say.

https://www.ign.com/articles/dell...-hot-price <- IGN did an article on this already. It was full of $1500 3080 builds and links.

Trust me, these guys aren't shipping. Feel free to reply here with a picture of it actually arriving if you think you can prove me wrong.

Thanks for clearing it up, I was able to replicate it. For me the $50 didn't stack with the 10% off. Total came out to $2083+tax
They must be pulling strings. When I bought mine the $50 stacked with the 10% off. Sorry about that.

The cheapest R12 with a 3080 is showing at $3k when I search that way...
Then you understand why this is a deal.

I recall seeing on past threads Dell uses propriety parts. Any chance that would mean lesser performance than regular branded parts? Any possible issues with adding own parts?

Don't worry about it. I'd just fix up your original post before people come in here and bash you. Put how to replicate deal in there. At least you have one person that's able to verify it's replicateable.

$2100 still isn't bad for a 3080+pc right now. But if the other guy is right about dell not sending out 3080s.... I also saw somewhere else estimated arrival is end of April. That's a long time.

I think Dell is trying to kill this deal as fast as I can post links to it.

Sorry guys. It was available I bought one, and so did others.

Basically try to look for the cheapest Intel R12, upgrade to a 3080, and to the 8 core/16 thread, and the 1000 watt liquid cooled CPU. It should all total out to about 2250, then apply the coupon codes I noted in the original post. I've found it four times, but Dell has killed my config link four times. You'll have to do the legwork yourselves since everytime I post a link Dell kills it and it just goes to the main Dell page. Slickdeals effect in full affect.

This link from hardforum is still working...try that.

$10/day includes electricity costs. Go research it.
