Alright folks, as requested I created a video with a step-by-step to replace the front fan and repaste the RTX 3080 GPU. The temps in my machine decreased from 110 degree memory junction down to 76 degrees following these relatively simple mods. Not too bad.

I'm not a youtuber, simply created this video for your benefit to maximize the performance of the unit. Here is a link:
https://youtu.be/YklybEdoKIM
"Dell Aurora R12 RTX 3080 Repaste and Fan optimization - Easy 30 degree temp difference fix!"

Enjoy.
You and everyone else. Everyone coming to slickdeals and posting these 3080 deals from dell don't understand that they will not actually ship.

I've done it twice now. Both times they delayed my shipment every month. My first order took 5 months of delays before they finally cancelled and gave me a crappy 10% coupon that expires in June. Everyone on reddit knows not to bother posting these dell builds because dell doesn't ship. They simply take your payment information, add you to their mailer list, sell your information to other companies, cancel your order and enjoy the profits of their farmed mailer list of people who want the latest technology.

Dell is trash tier right now, hell I'd even trust Newegg over Dell when it comes to 3080 products, and that's embarrassing to say.

https://www.ign.com/articles/dell...-hot-price <- IGN did an article on this already. It was full of $1500 3080 builds and links.

Trust me, these guys aren't shipping. Feel free to reply here with a picture of it actually arriving if you think you can prove me wrong.

Thank you for this. Just configured a i9-11900k with 3080 (1TB HDD, 8gb RAM) with the 10% (Forbes) code, and some surprise discounts that popped up at checkout. Total came to $2053 pretax.

What surprise discounts? I'm not seeing anything when adding the 11900kf to the system

How are you applying the Perks At Work - is there a separate section for Coupons?
It's a click-thru link on the perksatwork website. It routes me into the "dell member purchase program" if you want to google/search/register for that.

The profitability of mining is going to drop by 35-50% in June/July (Can't remember which month) and after that mining the most profitable coin (Ethereum) may no longer be possible in October because there is a proposal to switch away from mining. Profits will still exist on other coins, but will be less.

Its hard to say what mining will look like 6 months from now.
Let alone a possible drop of 20-50% in a day or two

I don't care for coin mining. I have a decent PC right now, just wanna upgrade my 1080. Should I pull the trigger or wait for 3080 ti?

Are you willing to spend a lot more (as in additionally) for a better monitor... Whether is 1440 or higher? Are you willing to look through all the reviews on monitors like this, and find out which manufacturers/retailers say it's permissible to have a few dead pixels, screen bleed, maybe even ghosting, etc?

I personally think it's a really bad time to upgrade (and seems that it will be this way for a while) - if your system just works for your purposes... But it just depends on how much money you have, I guess.

This seems like a better deal without all the hoops if you're after a 3080.

Thanks! I have an Alienware 3440x1440 but am not getting anywhere above 60-70 fps with the current 1080. I can certainly wait - just not sure whether a 3080 ti is even purchasable if and when it's out.
