If you read the threads I linked above, you'll see plenty of people that are quite satisfied with the Ryobi to balance the one negative experience posted in this thread.
Thank you.

Do you this same impact wrench to put back the lug nuts on ? Does this stop after it feels resistance ?
Honestly, I never trust the gun to torque them to speck for fear of over doing it so I just run them back on after I get them started by hand, then hit it with the 1/2 torque wrench.

So YES I use it to put them back on but not the end all be all.

A few minutes after placing order, Lowes sent me an email that they canceled it. Then I got an email stating ready for pickup. So I looked up the order and Lowe's canceled the battery on me and put "No longer want item" as the reason. The tool was still on there and ready for pickup, but I canceled the order.

So has Craftsman completely replaced the C3 line of rechargeable power tools? You can probably see I don't stay up on this stuff, but I have several C3 tools and batteries.

Impact sockets ONLY. Non impact sockets have potential to shatter.
Agreed.

I recommend either the harbor freight cr mo version or tekton. Both have served me well with my ridgid impact wrench.

Yes, C3 is more or less obsolete. This their 5th battery platform (18v, C3, Matrix, v20, 20v) at essentially the same voltage and all incompatible with each other.

hello fello sd'ers
from my personal experience... I will never purchase another
Ryobi product again.
Its funny {to me} I always notice Ryobi on sale...
because most peeps do not want to pay full price for Ryobi

Definitely ryobi. The ever expanding tool line and the fact that they have and probably will keep the same line for years is reason enough for me.
