$30 each is the usual weekly "sale" price for these
Dont get me wrong I have 2 installed, they work GREAT! Better picture, responsive to alerts, the app works well. Love the Eufy system, getting ready to install their smart wall switches. Good competition for Smartthings.
Much better then Ring, Arlo, Wyze, etc and NO monthly monitoring BS fees.
Yes. Nice camera for this price . My only complaint is it does not support recording to ftp. Otherwise, I can set it up with existing WD my cloud. But it does support rstp which requires a computer or compatible NVR.

This is the type of hype that rankles my feathers.
I listened to the hype and bought a couple of Eufy 2k indoor cams to try out. Shockingly, they are not as good as Wyze V3 cams and person detection didn't work well at all.
I attached side by side comparisons of Eufy 2k indoor cam vs my Wyze V3 here...not even close. Fanboys need to quit hyping up Eufy as if they are the best.

Not a Fanboy. I tried Ring, Arlo and Wyze but Eufy cameras worked better for me: faster alerts, better picture, solid Wifi connection, and I liked the App. Overall better experience.
I'm happy that Wyze is working well for you. Enjoy!

wyze whole ecosystem and hardware design is just horrible, most of whom you are calling "fanboys" are actually X-wyze owners . . . . why do you think that is the case?
could it be because we don't what to pay membership fee every month for basic features that are expected to be in the device in 2021, or we do not want to own a device that is deliberately handicapped to drive profit . . . perhaps we like our notifications to be instant without the 5min b.s.
when you take a global view at both brands, it's obvious: wyze v3 is only competing with v2. in that respect, i totally agree with you . . . v3 is better than v2.
cheap_bastid is always so quick to call everyone names who gave up on wyze. as of now the only credit i can give wyze is for it's market disruption. but what took place after that was just horrible, i do wish them the best and hope cheap_bastid is not riding on the titanic.

LOL, the only thing I can point to is the side by side comparison of the Eufy 2k indoor cam vs the Wyze v3, it's clear the Eufy doesn't perform like many seem like to tout.
I don't care for one brand or another, I care about actual results. In my side by side testing, with visual comparisons as proof, it's clear Eufy is lacking very much in this regard.
I hope Eufy improves the product to be as good as some people seem to imply.
Wyze also gives best of both worlds for users, you can have free cloud (with 5 min cool down) + onboard SD card recording so you can view anything you may have missed in that 5 minute period. Or for $1.25 per month, you can forego the SD card and just record to cloud, or have the SD card for back up as well.
For me, having data redundancy is key. I wouldn't like to have a thief break into my house and steal the Eufy cam, and the footage is gone. I would want cloud as back-up in addition to local SD storage.
So if you are serious about security, $1.25 to have cloud back up and better person detection, plus local SD data back up is cheap peace of mind in case something happens.
If something were to happen, you would rather have paid the $1.25 to see what happened, than cry because the crooks took the camera / SD card and you're left in the dark as to what really happened.
So all those people who cry about a $1.25 per month cloud subscription and then tout how great local features are, really are missing the point when it comes to security. You want cloud storage so that critical data is backed up to cloud should something happen.
If it's not important enough to spend $1.25 per month, then the free Wyze 14 day cloud with 5 minute cool down should serve your needs. Kind of ridiculous to cry about this all day and be wishy washy about what's really important.

agree with you... the only thing V3 does better is night vision, because it has a sensor meant for it. i use IR floods, so low light situations aren't an issue for me.
moving on, absolutely everything else is better on the 2K Eufy. i'm still in the process of changing all my Wyze V2s, such an upgrade to 2K Eufy. i recently had to use one of my Wyze cameras to go back and look at some video stored on the uSD... OMG it's bad, so much worse than i remembered it being, 2K Eufy app is just so fluid and playback is actually easy to go through.

Wyze V2 definitely is outdated and not competitive.
I was surprised the in-person detection on my Eufy 2k did not work at all yesterday, despite me walking in front of it numerous times throughout the day. The Wyze next to it worked flawlessly.
That is a serious concern and a trust issue I have.

no idea why you had issues with person detection, mine catch me every time i walk by. i use them outside in my animal areas, as i pass from one to the next i get notifications as i'm walking through... much faster than the Wyze V2s i had in there as well.
was this comparison of person detection also in low light?

You are still fixated on the narrow vision, if you can provide the explanation as to why so many fans of wyze abandoned them then you would be on the right track.

"Penny wise but dollar stupid". Eufy is years ahead with their platform proposition. No amount of glitter can reduce the fact that wyze has no ai, no human detection, no pet detection . . . . the list goes on and on.

Eufy notifications and video stemming are instant, not like wyze 40+ seconds notification and incredibly slow videos. So the question is: would you rather have the opportunity to stopping someone from breaking into your house, or rather have a pic of someone who has all your stuff after the fact.
Don't know about you, but I prefer my stuff over just having someone behind bars (even if you take your video to the 5-0, unless you know that person the cops will do absolutely nothing about it). So your logic is all backwards.

I think you are the only one missing the point, with Eufy you don't need to pay to have your videos backed up if that is what you want to do (it's called RTSP). You don't have to pay monthly fees to have human detection, pet detection . . . . all the stuff that wyze deliberately removed from their camera in order to squeeze money from you every month (mafia style).

you are selling it hard . . .using fair tactics, it's a new low for you, lol.
as i have stated Eufy can backup stuff for free. with Eufy i have a choice, with wyze I don't - I have to pay to get all the stuff that Eufy gives for free.
This brings me to the initial question that I asked you, but you conveniently skipped: Why so many wyze users switched to eufy?

He has lost all credibility in my book when he recommended an indoor Wyze security cam and inverter as a dashcam. I'm very open to new ideas, but not _____ ones. Feel free to use your imagination what word I would use.
Not really sure why he continues to troll Eufy threads. Clearly it's not to educate since he's made a few baseless, half truths and even completely false, and/or outdated claims. Is it because too many Wyze users are leaving and switching to Eufy? He doesn't want to get left behind? Insecurity with his security cams? Losing commissions? I don't know and don't care.
