In for one. Wife bought me a set for Xmas from Costco for $329, which included a recharging case. They were nice, but i wasn't overly impressed with them for that price, so I returned them. Fast forward a couple of months, and my wife bought refurbished ones for about $250 or so after tax and has used them for work. She LOVES them. We both work next to each other in the same office. (covid working from home). She has good meetings with no one commenting about any sound issues, and she can hear them as well. I struggle like hell trying to get others to hear me while managing background noise of kids and my wife speaking as well in her meetings. So, I'm in for a set of these again. I was going to get the Sony XM4s, as I do think for music they may be better for my sound profile I enjoy. But the mic on those is inferior to Bose according to many reviews, and for me that was a deal breaker.
Both the NC700s and QC35 IIs are excellent headphones with top-tier sound quality, long-lasting battery life (I get over 16 hours per charge), and unbelievable noise-cancellation, with various levels you can choose depending on how much you want to drown out outside sounds. The Bluetooth connects the moment I turn them on, they're super comfortable, and I also like the touch controls on the sides of the headphones, though it did take a little practice to get used to.
My only complaint is that the built in microphones aren't phenomenal; whenever I'm on calls with my audio colleagues (I do audio design professionally) they'll note the moment I switch from my iPhone microphone to the headphones as having sightly diminished voice quality. But it's probably not a huge deal or all that noticeable for most people.
The other thing is that the headband on the NC700s is a little narrow, so if I'm trecking through bumpy terrain or if I have to run a block to catch a bus, they don't stay seated as perfectly as the QC35 IIs do with the wider band. But again, I'm pointing out inconsequential issues I've noticed after several years of use in a variety of environments and situations. For most people who don't own a high-end pair of noise-cancelling headphones, (including myself when I bought them), these will change your expectations of headphones, and you'll likely never want to go back after having experienced these. And at these prices, I'd likely pull the trigger if you've been eyeing them for a while.
I got these about a year ago after starting to work from home. Sound quality is great and I am able to drown out the noise from two kids. The microphone seems to be solid because my coworkers have not heard my kids really in the background as well. Definitely a decent price for a refurbed pair of great headphones.

Curious, if both of you are using ANC headphones, do the kids get out of control? ;D I could suggest open back headphones like the X2HR so you can still somewhat hear your kids and a v-moda boompro mic to go with it to get better sound and better mic quality for cheaper than either pair of these headphones. I actually have used all 3 of these headphones being mentioned and I prefer the X2HR but of course if you prefer wireless, disregard me!
Got one from bose outlet for $200 last month, outlets were giving 20% discounts on refurbished headphones. Soapstone one was even cheaper somewhere around $160 after discount.
