Not sure why.

The $1200 laptop deal is still overall better. Do you really think 32 GB vs 16 GB is going to make a big difference? Sure the 2070 SUPER will bring you to 3060 performance but is that worth $300 more?

Bottom-line. In my opinion, if the laptop was $1300 (or even $150 if you want to stretch things) then the jump would have made sense but at $1500 it does not.

When purchased online, Chase Freedom Flex credit cardholders get 5X points for purchases through 3/31/21 (wholesale clubs is a 5X category this quarter). If those points are transferred to Chase Sapphire Reserve and used for travel, pay yourself back on groceries, it is worth 50% more or 7.5X. So basically that's worth between $75 and $112.50 effective cash back. You need to update the OP with this information.

Where would >144Hz be useful? The display isn't "better" in any other way.
For frame rates between FPS 144 and 240?

Approximate Weight: 5.25lbs
Oh, wow! This is a huge relative reduction from the $1200 deal for which the weight is 5.67 lbs. How did MSI achieve the reduction of a laptop that essentially the same structure as the $1200 deal ?

Separately, OP also needs to put SUPER in the title in quotes for emphasis.

Here's how I would rephrase the subject line:
GeForce RTX 2070 "SUPER" GPU (10%>2070) MSI Gaming Laptop Notebook - GE75 Raider - i7-10750H - 17.3" FHD 240Hz 3ms - 32GB RAM - 1TB HDD & 512GB SSD - Outriders Game $1499.99 @ COSTCO

I have no idea how they did this, but Costco listed it as 5.25lbs. I will take Costco's words for it. XD

If you create a wiki, below is more information. For item II, it would be great if we could get benchmarks for "overclocked and undervolted" 2070 SUPER

I. MSI Laptop hierarchy (tells you the build-quality of the systems in their line up)

GT > GS > GE > GP > GL > GF > GV

GT Titan Series
GS Stealth Series
GE Raider Series
GP Leopard Series
GL Leopard Series
GF Thin Series
GV Series

II WHY WATTS / TDP MATTER AND RELATIVE PERFORMANCE OF GPUs

Quote from rruff :
There is no such thing as "standard wattage" for 3000 series cards. 2000 series had MaxQ and "everything else" which narrowed it down a little.
----
3000 series cards have an optional feature whereby they can boost to a higher power level if the CPU demand is low. For instance the max on a 3060 is 115W-130W, where that extra 15W is the extra boost.

When RTX 2060 115 watts is used as a base (100%) for comparison:

3060@60W= 94%
3060@75 W = 100% (inserted by RussianBytes for MSI "GF75 Thin Gaming Laptop" RTX 3060 GPU for $1300 at COSTCO)
2060@115W= 100%
3060@90 W = 105% (75 Base Watts+15 watts boost, (inserted by RussianBytes MSI "GF75 Thin Gaming Laptop" RTX 3060 GPU, $1300 COSTCO)
2070@115W= 110% (inserted by RussianBytes for MSI "GE75 Gaming Laptop" RTX 2070 for $1,200 at COSTCO)
2060@115 watts AND further undervolting and overclocking: 110%
3060@115W= 115%
2070S@115W= 120% ("S" stands for the "SUPER" version of the RTX 2070)

Frankly, if the 2070 $1200 is 5.67 lbs and this is 5.25 lbs, I personally value that weight differential as between $50 and $100. Heck, if someone is lugging this laptop every business day to office or school, the weight reduction alone is definitely worth $100.

Is that Outriders game any good? How much can it be sold on ebay to offset purchase cost?
