Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
For decades, the leadership teams and marketing departments at companies like HD have undertaken tremendous efforts to figure out how to squeeze every fraction of a penny out of people like you and me.
The notion that we are "hacking" something without them knowing is ludicrous. Their social media listening tools caught that concept well before most of us ever heard of it. They know more about you than some of your friends do. Our "hacks" are the result of thousands of hours of spreadsheet analyses, business intelligence/data science projects and countless board room powerpoint presentations on our buying behaviors. Every millisecond of our web page interaction, every path to purchase has been analyzed beyond belief over the past ten years to maximize the % chance that we convert (complete our purchase) with the highest dollar amount and margin they can squeeze out of us.
The "hackable" deal is a brilliant strategy because price sensitive consumers like us will convert near our personal max, while other segments of the general public and contractors will buy the same thing at a higher effective price and margin and everyone feels they got a good deal.
Make no mistake, we are the ones getting "hacked" here. But we do get the deal we want/demand and everyone wins.
Good deal, paid something similar for the Fuel Hackzall, 4.0ah battery, and case a few months back. Most prefer the non-Fuel 3/8" ratchet - I have that version and love it!
i guess so, the 3/8 ships in its own box. ive never tried tho
Not hackable because it's get a free tool, doesn't break down pricing. A few weeks ago a coworker purchased a set that came with 2 free tools (right angle impact and stubby). He returned the set and right angle and kept the stubby and still got the full refund. When they process the return, they only scan the main item which the order is associated with. In this case would be the hackzall. The other "free" items don't ring up.

"Free tools" typically break down the pricing. So your basically saying that he kept the stubby for free? If so that was jus a YMMV screw up by HD. If it rings up that way which sometimes it does every item must be returned they dont jus give away tools. All or nothing return. Thats how it works at lowes always which is never hackable

When she scanned the right angle tool, no order popped up. When she scanned the 2 tool set, the order popped up. She asked him if the other tool was part of the free offer and just processed it.

This is definitely an lucky error that wasn't caught. The packages with the "free tool" that is included in the package (and not separated out on the receipt) have a separate SKU - so all the items should have been returned, including the "free tools".

Yea he got lucky order may not pop up when the free tool is scanned but you still must return the free tool or tools with set. Like i said they dont give tools away for free purposely

looks like it can be bundled with other tools like the right angle drill, rotary drill, oscillating mult-tool and possible others if you don't need or want the 3/8 ratchet.
I am building out my new tool setup one Slickdeal at a time lol. So far:
- bought the M12 Fuel Hammer Drill, Impact, Stubby and Right Angle (all Fuel) w batteries and charger for ~$380. Sold the right angle on ebay within a day for $180 making the hammer impact and stubby battery charger bag kit all Fuel for just ~$220 net, an awesome baseline kit.
- bought the corded Skilsaw Worm Drive circular saw for ~$157. Seems thats the area to go corded versus the small m12 saw which isnt as versatile.
- bought this deal for the fuel hackzall and ratchet
- bought the m12 rocket light w 6.0 battery from home depot for $149
So far very happy with the buildout and all great deals for the quality and capability.

Perfect if you need to do a house demo, give wife the non fuel and keep the fuel which has a hefty counter-balance. You'll be able to impress her with how easy you can control it.

Anyone know if this is hackable? If so, what are the amounts? Don't NEED the hack saw.
