For decades, the leadership teams and marketing departments at companies like HD have undertaken tremendous efforts to figure out how to squeeze every fraction of a penny out of people like you and me.

The notion that we are "hacking" something without them knowing is ludicrous. Their social media listening tools caught that concept well before most of us ever heard of it. They know more about you than some of your friends do. Our "hacks" are the result of thousands of hours of spreadsheet analyses, business intelligence/data science projects and countless board room powerpoint presentations on our buying behaviors. Every millisecond of our web page interaction, every path to purchase has been analyzed beyond belief over the past ten years to maximize the % chance that we convert (complete our purchase) with the highest dollar amount and margin they can squeeze out of us.

The "hackable" deal is a brilliant strategy because price sensitive consumers like us will convert near our personal max, while other segments of the general public and contractors will buy the same thing at a higher effective price and margin and everyone feels they got a good deal.

Make no mistake, we are the ones getting "hacked" here. But we do get the deal we want/demand and everyone wins.

Going to wait for Chase Freedom Quarterly Bonus to start to get 5% CB.

Yes. That's because this kit is a Q1 promo and has been available for 7 weeks now. It's been posted before and was actually $153 as a special buy a couple weeks ago. Comes in and out of stock but has mostly been available since 2/1/21.

I think I was watching that deal when it was a special for the day. Couldn't snag it while I was working when the inventory popped in and out.
I actually want the ratchet more than the hackzall, but I'd take both at a good price; so I think I'm settling for the kit.

Maybe the hackable-ness isn't happening for some of y'all cuz you're showing the employee your receipt! 😂 you have to say you don't have a receipt. They require drivers license tho and only allow 3 of these type of transactions per year. Blessed y'all with game right there 🙏

Fuel Ratchet has only been part of buy more save more this quarter. ~$126 is best you can get it for with buy more save more hack. Likely discussed in the Buy More Save More thread on SD from this quarter.

They won't return powertools and batteries without a receipt. I tried today with the 6.0 battery. I have returned other items with no receipt like you said also in the past. But no dice today.

Nothing is hackable. It is stealing via loopholes. Honesty is always better than guilt. You know what you are doing is wrong and it will catch up to you.
