The XR series are a step up from this kit for sure but I personally don't think the cost vs reward will be worth it for you being that you're just doing general stuff around the house.

lol I read XR drill and impact driver is better than the ones offered in this deal. I need these for regular maintenance work around the house...nothing special.

Been using a 14v kit for 10 years and a bosch 12v drill and driver combo for smaller jobs. Really tempted with this but also need an oscillating tool, 7 1/4 saw, and angle grinder. I'm tired of cords and the batteries for my 14v are all dying.
