I can't speak on price but these are great for tailgating.

Back on topic, I'm not really seeing the point of this for overnight camping but I'd love to hear opinions on this. I understand if you're tailgating or doing a day trip to a site but if you're staying overnight, wouldn't you be using a stove and bringing a grate to cook over the fire pit?

I think this could be useful if you camped in a place with frequent burn bans. That often means no fires, no charcoal grilling, etc.

But otherwise, there's different/better gear for camping than this.

Some people cook over a fire, but a lot of people cook on portable grills. I personally use a blackstone flat top griddle camping. I'm really clumsy in general and stay away from cooking over an open flame😅, and the flat top grill cooks just about everything we need

cook over the fire pit

The world does not revolve around humid climates where campfires are always permitted ...

J/k. Re the deal, this is a pretty handy unit for its intended purpose -- tailgating, camping, grilling on the beach, etc. Keep in mind that this is very small, only slightly larger than a george foreman grill. And it uses the proprietary, small non-refillable coleman propane tanks. would need to buy a separate adaptor to use the standard 15 lb tanks. Pretty good price, too, although larger versions can be had for slightly more if you're not in a hurry, live near a coleman outlet and monitor the sales. E.g., I got the much larger two-burner road trip for ~$100 last black friday at the coleman outlet. Great for cookouts on the beach (where campfires aren't permitted).

This is perfectly fine for overnight camping. When I camp I typically bring my stove and a portable grill among other things but that's usually for a trip that is more than 3 days. Some campgrounds don't have a decent enough firepit to bring a grate or they have pits with grates but are nasty or don't allow burning. I wouldn't use this for camping only due to the size of the stand and it doesn't fold flat enough, I prefer a tabletop unit. But it's still a solid deal.

This seems like a good deal. I think this would def be adequate for an overnight camping trip. This is similar to my Coleman Road trip grill. It's bigger than this one though. I have used it camping. It worked well. I bought a flat skillet grate to use on one side to cook eggs on instead of using the stock one with ridges. You can also get the hose adapter so you can use 15/20 lb. propane tanks if you need it. Amazon also sells an adapter so you can actually refill the "disposable" ones. Plenty of YouTube videos on how to do it. FYI- These grills tend to get hot pretty quickly due to their size.

The site goes thru phrases and cycles.
Not long ago, a few members would get all up in arms and attack anyone who would comment about OLED burn-in... (They claimed it has not occurred to them and it is impossible for it to occur with proper use and normal care.)

A few years back there was a group that would attack anyone who would make any critical comments against A4L. (All the refurbished stuff they sold was in excellent pristine condition)

Proprietary? Coleman does make 1lb disposable propane cylinders, but pretty sure this will take any brand. My Roadtrip grill definitely does. I also have a Flame King refillable 1lb cylinder that works, but it's a bit of hassle, and 99% of people will use the disposables (or a hose adapter to a big tank).

Refilling the 1lb tanks is pretty simple. I got an adaptor off Amazon a few weeks ago and just refilled 3 bottles. Nice and easy.
