One of my few deal posts, so please forgive me if I've forgotten to add something or need to edit.

I came across this grill as I was searching for a portable one to take along in our camper. This is perfect for the upcoming camping season and the price is the lowest i could find compared to other online retailers who carry this model.

I can't speak on price but these are great for tailgating.

Been looking at road trip grill for our new RV, do you recommend that or this? You like the road trip?

If you plan on camping a few days to a week normally when you camp, go with the Road Trip grill. Very versatile, lots of interchangeable plates. With the included grill plates and buying a set of the griddle plates, you can cook most anything. We make eggs, pancakes, bacon, etc. on the griddle plates every morning and we cook burgers, dogs and other stuff on the grill plates. Get the 20lb hose adapter so you can also use the 20lb propane tanks on your RV if you don't have any 1lb cylinders.

This is actually listed at $149 Walmart. Even Target's regular price is better. Seems like a good deal.

I actually got this on clearance at target a few years back for $39. It's great if you only need to cook a few things (I have a larger grill and I'll use this if I only need to grill asparagus or a few chicken thighs). It was perfect for me because it fits in the trunk of my 2 door coupe and it's relatively easy to clean.

I want to get a new grill for car camping (my Weber Go Anywhere charcoal grill is a bit small and not real versatile with the grate height being so close to the coals). After a bit of research, am thinking I'd hold out for a Weber Q propane grill, which seems to be what most campers prefer. But can anyone compare the build quality and size of this Coleman grill with a Weber Q? Anyone tried both grills? Will the Weber Q last many more years than this Coleman?

Some people cook over a fire, but a lot of people cook on portable grills. I personally use a blackstone flat top griddle camping. I'm really clumsy in general and stay away from cooking over an open flame😅, and the flat top grill cooks just about everything we need

A discussion came up today on what grills would be best for camping. A compact Treager and the blackstone you mentioned are the ones that were brought up.

I'm sure those are much better than this one but I'm also sure they are vastly more expensive as well.

Back on topic, I'm not really seeing the point of this for overnight camping but I'd love to hear opinions on this. I understand if you're tailgating or doing a day trip to a site but if you're staying overnight, wouldn't you be using a stove and bringing a grate to cook over the fire pit?
Convenience. If you need to cook 3-4 times a day, it's a hassle to start up an entire fire from scratch for 2 hot dogs.

Also, it's very tough to get consistent even heat from a fire that rises/lowers.

Also also, some camp sites have fire rings that are so high that the grate will be way too far from the heat to be usable.

Have to get a replacement, if anyone else had this issue let me know, the back handle was cracked and the entire rear was unpainted, it was sealed new but looked as if it was previously repaired while appearing new.

A Blackstone 17" is about $80 while the 22" is $125 with a lid and carry bag. The Traeger is $300 at Costco during their roadshow. So the Blackstone isn't too bad but the Traegar definitely is much more expensive. There are also Blackstone imitations for roughly the same price as this Coleman. The advantage of this Coleman is the stand but I always find myself needing counter space when cooking so it is somewhat useless to me.

This is a car camping / tailgaiting grill for small gatherings. Stand it up and start cooking for a few people within 20 seconds. Smaller than a conventional grill, bigger than a JetBoil, and easier than managing charcoal or wood fires. I could see this being very convenient given the right circumstances
