Btw, lowest C9 went to was $2100 according to camel. Lowest CX discount window is probably April/May, and you'd be able to price match this if it drops within 30 days.
If you take the cash instead they will deduct all labor and parts prices from the initial tv value and pay out remaining plan value.
Not sure how that is a good deal if you need to use the warranty. However, Lg will replace the panel but that service call labor will deduct from warranty value per online comments on people who have had warranty claims.
The people who bought oleds are upset since each of the three replacement choices aren't the same quality as the tv they purchased. I think the best tv they were offered was a q80, but research it yourself, maybe I misunderstood.
Example: Tv purchase price 1700
Year 2 repair - board (350 labor (3 service calls and parts of 400 for the board).
Year 3 another board fails (2 service calls). They offer you a swap of a non oled tv or cash you out 1700-350-400-200=800-100 insurance plan cost=700 dollars cash value remaining/settlement on your insurance plan for you to buy a new tv. Of course labor will be much higher if you live in the middle of nowhere or need repeat visits (wrong parts/etc.)
Most people won't have these issues, but if you do I don't see how the insurance is any good versus getting full tv paid amount as gift card from geek squad.

Edit: Speculating on why, but the new LG OLEDs were announce at CES in early January, and the new ones are rolling out now. The new 55" C1 (OLED55C1PUB) is available now, and the premium 55" (OLED55G1PUA) hits in April.
I actually almost bought this TV on a Black Friday deal from Amazon and it was better than this military only deal with the cashback (somewhere around $1600 for the 65). Would have been good in a darker/theater room for movies. I waited too long and missed the deal so was checking this one out and it's pretty good but not good enough.
Just buy the TV soon. You'll be glad you did and you can quit coming here and talking about it
