Here's the thing about Lowe's "events." You can sign up for them and they will cancel without telling you (or themselves). They'll simply decide when you show up that they don't feel like having it because they don't want to spare the employees on a particular day. I'm sure it doesn't happen at all Lowe's, but I've signed up for their freebie events before and learned the hard way. You show up, then they're running around 20 minutes trying to decide if someone wants to do it. Last time I showed up to one, I signed up about a week in advance and was there about 10 minutes before it was supposed to start. Manager said they weren't going to do it, but to call him back personally Monday morning and he'll schedule a personal make up session for me. So I called Monday, and he wasn't even there that day. Called Tuesday, talk to the same manager and he complained about having to do it. Now I don't even bother.

Great deal/event if you have a Lowe's with good management that will actually follow through with their events.

I would think this is normally a helpful comment, except this isnt even an event... It seems more like a register, pick up your stuff and go home. Probably get shipped out to the stores from a facility where theyre prepared

If it's just a grab-n-go, then great. You just gotta watch out when they tell you to register for an event that they want you to attend with their staff.

Free Gardening Kits from Lowe's every Thursday in April starting on the 8th. To receive your complimentary kit, all you have to do is head on over to Lowes.com starting April 1st to reserve one. You can then pick it up the following Thursday during a special curbside event. There will be a different Garden-to-Go kit each week — two of which will come in unique packaging.

Would make sense to register online then grab n go curbside with this being 20-quarantine.

Sure, if they'll provide the service. Sometimes it's iffy with these things.Stores don't always want to give up an employee when they want them to do their normal job at the store. I've seen other stores besides Lowe's do this too.
