I've had this about a week and enjoyed it. Sadly the curve is too extreme for me (feels distorted) and even after firmware update it still suffers from flickering. Under Gsync usage. I get it in wow, and other games where I get FPS drops (RTX 3080) games and worst of all sporadically in photo editing etc. not that I really should be using this monitor for that. But the panel should be a good one for that. As it stands it gets so close to being exceptional, but there's just some major drawbacks pushing me away. It's nit picky I know, but at $750 (What I paid for the Faker 32" after taxes) it's kind of a deal breaker. The HDR while it works, is also barely worthy of note. You really need HDR 1000 or a self emissive display. These just don't cut it with 8 local dimming zones and only like 500-550 peak brightness for most.

(I have an OLED and TCL series TV with HDR 1000, it's a night and day difference for HDR compared to this).

It also has some Over sharpening I can't seem to compensate for that cause some artifacts. I'm at 56 sharpness. Anything lower is blurry anything higher is way too much. But 56 is a bit too much as well sadly.

I'm torn on whether to get an LG ultra gear UW monitor and give up on these VA Panels.

Would love to hear from people who have used both. I'm on the fence at the moment. This is the best VA panel I've used to date though without a shadow of a doubt.

Not seeing the 629.99 price for the 32 inch G7 under my EPP account. Maybe it's just EDU? Can anyone confirm?

I'm looking at something for my PS5/XBsX, but I play it on a Q70T. So I'm finding it difficult to upgrade because man it looks good on Samsung Q series...

i don't know about this monitor , but i have the Acer 3440 x 1440 Resolution 144hz monitor
PS5 doesn't work on it at all , blank screen.. there's a list on reddit that has a few monitors PS5 works on. Sony says if theres demand they might make a firmware update.

I logged in with Samsung Education but I'm not seeing the discount? $699 for monitor only, goes down to $629 when adding the headphones, but then Live are additional $98, bringing total to $728?

Interesting. I don't suppose you've tried IPS panels? Wondering if this or the 27" G7 I was originally considering would be an upgrade over my current 27" 1440p 165Hz IPS.

You sure the firmware upgrade went through? Also there is a vrr option in one of the system settings , you have that enabled? There's a setting in pictures and one in system settings, you need both on.

Agreed on curve, I'm not a fan. About the oversharpening...adjust your "clear text' settings in windows to fix it. Type "clear type" in start menu and do those steps to calibrate it.

Also yes hdr sucks, I turned it off.
