I bought this during Black Friday and it's been fantastic to both find new trails and to stay on course on trails you're not familiar with, even if there's no cellular signal if you download the map beforehand. It's worked out great with my Texas State Parks annual pass.
Why not just use a Garmin? Maps can be found free in the net
Actually it's much more than just maps. Photos, personal experiences, tips and those trails that don't always show on typical maps.
Funny you mention Garmin. My Fenix 5 plus uploads every hike I log with it to AllTrails automatically. I think it's a great tool for most weekend hikers.
As a current Pro subscriber, it won't let me purchase another year at $14.99. I sent them a message in hopes I can buy it again for the discounted price.
Love the app. Curious what additional do you get with the Pro subscription?
Download offline maps and being able to share your progress with someone in case you get lost are the big pluses. Worth it IMO if you're a regular hiker.
this app is totally worth the price. I bought it last year after I began hiking. It has been invaluable in helping me stay on the trail, especially in desolate national forests where the trails often are not clearly marked.
