If you are looking for a non-M1 mac mini, consider Costco. Model # MXNF2LL/A. Was the last mac mini before going to M1. Now on clearance at $597. Listed on the Costco website under the heading "while supplies last".

This has actually dropped in price again. Costco has it for 550 and the hard drive is 256 instead of 128. Score!

Looked at Costco again. Couldn't find it now...Went to my browser "history", clicked on link for mac mini from a few hours ago...now get "product not found". Guess they didn't have too many to sell at that price.... went fast.

The M1 was on sale for a long time for $600 and it's a significant step up, I don't see the deal for a much slower version in the $500+ range.
