It's just supply and demand and I think it is a win-win-win situation. Restaurant marks up their prices on DD 30% upward to cover their fee paid to DD. I don't mind to pay a slight premium to have the food delivered to me and create jobs for the delivery people. Restaurant makes their sales, DD created jobs for delivery people, I saved gas & time & got the convenience. Why not? Peace

I would actually say that during these times DashPass is keeping afloat small businesses without that don't have their own delivery drivers, while others relying only on pickup are struggling more.

You mean NOT the way to go? And didn't even think about that, I have the sapphire card and was thinking I would still get the free delivery etc but prob not. Only if you pay with card.

This IS the way to go. Even if you use the gift card, as long as the total exceeds 12 dollars and your sapphire card is the default payment method (even if the payment is 0 dollars after gift card balance) you still get the free delivery.
