i was telling myself there can be nothing more worthless than a chromebook. but then this gem was posted. Amazon tablets are absolute trash. wont even allow you to connect to a firestick. just do yourself a favor and pass on this.

Actually you can remove all of the bloat with the Amazon fire toolbox; https://forum.xda-developers.com/...0.3889604/ This will make these tablets pretty fast and it can also install the Google play store. I just got the 8+ from Kohl's for $79.99 and after removing all the bloat and installing the Google play store it's actually a pretty nice tablet. I know not everyone is inclined to do this but it is very easy to do as long as you have a Windows 10 computer.

I have a couple of these and I think they are great, especially for the price I paid ($85 + tax). Build quality is a bit flimsy so I treat them gently. Download Fire Toolbox and follow the instructions on the web to get rid of all the Amazon stuff - it definitely makes a difference to the performance.

Unless u need a tablet immediately I'd pass on this and wait for a lower price.

I got this on the Amazon deal a few days ago for 107. Price point is for my toddler to use for pre-k learning so I don't she needs it to multitask. In for it to be destroyed eventually.

I didn't like it because I wasn't able to remote into it. Other than that, Google play worked

My research has shown me that even tho this has a SD 822 it is still a great mid range tablet. it actually beats the very usable Amazon fire HD 2019, Tab A 10.1 2019 64/128gb 3 gb ram & even the Tab A7 2020 tablets in benchmark tests. Would probably be a semi decent tablet to play basic games on or emulators. I just wonder if it has usb c to HDMI out as that could be useful for playing movies/games on the big screen. The tablet that interests me the most is the iplay 40 for $200.00. While it does not have WideVine L1 support (no netflix, disney, amazon in HD)... it is a very powerful tablet for the money and can not be beat.

Yea its a decent tablet for the money. Don't think its better than a tab s6 or s7 tho.

No, not better then the S6 or S7... but not as expensive.

The Mi Pad 5 will be better but I think it may start at $600.00.

I agree. Wait for it to drop to $80 on AMZ like it has a few times last year (and hopefully a trade in offer to get it even lower). With the toolkit and a 256gb SD, it's not bad for Kindle reading and storing movies to watch later offline. The deal I got was so good, I went ahead and also bought the Fintie Otterbox Defender style case with it. No regrets.
