My kid's contigo water bottle got moldy but not these ones. I think the kids ones were also recalled if I remember correctly.

I have the one pictured and no mold. I wash the lid in the dishwasher and handwash the bottle itself. The lid has a o-ring seal that you don't want to use in the wash, though.

Leaks..

If you're used to bottles that you can throw in a bag, this one isn't for you... even out on the water with some waves with it closed, it leaked like no tomorrow.

I'd say its current price should be it's base MSRP price, it's very budget made all around. I kinda think if someone is using it all the time to get something that works but thats just me Smilie

Autoseal from contigo is 100% garbage. Mold, hard to clean (cumbersome), also not the great seal (leaky, no matter how tight you close it)

Just weird but what's not weird. Is how often these go on sale. Do yourself a favor buy a zojirushi.

Yea, I but these all the time, they are GREAT, but the top needs to be cleaned properly. Even in the instructions it says "you need to clear it doing this". I'm pretty sure most people just do some basic rinsing.

I normally just toss them after a year.
