I use one of these in my garage, mostly to be able to check the status of our garage doors, and it works great - 1080p res fine for my use. It's ceiling mounted and the app allows the camera POV to be "flipped" so that the view is right side up. I have a cheap low capacity SD card in it to record events, but ran it for months without storage - the live view still works without a storage card. The only issue I had with it was during sub-freezing weather (20 degrees F and below) where I'd get an occasional message from the app that the SD card was missing or needed to be reformatted, but keep in mind that this camera is indoor rated.

No subscription fee. Recorded events are stored locally and can be retrieved via the app when away from home. It comes with an interlocking base that's screwed in to the garage ceiling with screw anchors. It connects wirelessly to a cheap old 2.4 Ghz ASUS wireless router I have set up in access point mode on an IoT only VLAN.

wow, that's a very good price for pan/tilt, it is 1080 vs the 2K, but if all you need is 1080 than it's very good

Thanks OP - Was looking to buy some eufy indoor cameras but wasn't sold on buying the static version. This is a good price point for the pan/tilt.

No hate on Eufy, but I find their audio video lag a little frustrating.

In comparison to a Wyze pan & tilt camera, the Eufy has about a 2-3 sec lag, which translates to potential overshoot of panning or tilting. Maybe it has to do with encryption or some server security in Eufy side, but I don't see this lag on Wyze versions.
Otherwise a good camera.

It's the same price directly from the Eufy website. But I saw that only the 2K version can connect to Apple Homekit and it's 10 dollars more at $39.99.
