This is only a U1 card, not U3, therefore it's write speed will probably be around 30MB/s which would take a LOOOOONG time to try to move or copy anything to this card. The read speed is about 90MB/s which is standard for most high capacity U1 microSD cards.

I have no use for a U1 1TB card. I can't imaging using that. Ugh.

Exactly. Not sure who this is for. Definitely not me. Maybe crazy long video storage for a non HD camera?? And even then, I wouldn't want to try it.

I hardly touch my computer anymore, I like having all my movies and media stored locally on my device. I won't buy a phone anytime soon with out microsd card support

I have a Pixel 3a and an iPad Air, both without removable storage. I wish I could use this since moving pics and other content of both devices never goes smoothly for some reason.

Would love to get a pixel, the lack of microsd is what kept me away sadly, fortunately my galaxy tab s7+ has microsd support

They got usbc adapters u can use for microsdx cards. I use one for my iPads now that latest iOS have native file app. Easier on Android devices with microsd card slot tho like my S7+. 1TB is the max you can use with an S7+ and would get this for that to store movies to watch when I travel and have no internet or slow internet connections. Will probably just get the 512GB version tho way too much more than the $55 for 512GB and thats still a ton of movies :lol
Not to mention with nobody doing much travelling these days really even less of a reason to get this tbh since at home can can stream movies and other large files wirelessly over home network.laugh out loud Like I said very limited use case like extra storage when travelling or maybe another way to back up pics off phone other devices if you paranoid about cloud backups.
Would also be handy if you do lotta 4k video recording or even 8K like the new Samsung phone. Thing is couldn't even use it on new Samsung phone for that since they removed microsd card slot Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
Would also come in really handy for the $250 Pixel 4a I was thinking of getting but probably not get it even for that low price since would have to use usbc adapter since no microsd card slot on that phone either Frown

Yes, the ability to expand the storage would have been great. The deal Google Fi was offering was just too good to pass on for me though. My iPhone 6 was barely still holding a charge and they offered $250 trade in, $100 store credit and $35 service credit. Nearly free after all that and it is a pretty decent phone.

.Yes I just always have issues whether using an adapter with a flash drive or hooking it up directly to a pc to offload pics. It always seems to crap out at some point. I recently bought the Photsync app and was able to use that but it still had multiple crashes but at least able to remember which pic were already downloaded. I have a new pc on the way so will likely set that app to offload them automatically.

Phone manufacturers have been removing SD card slots on their so-called "flagship" phones. I hope this isn't indicative of a larger trend but they're all following Apple's lead by removing useful features and calling it a "feature", but in reality they want people to subscribe to their insecure and overpriced per-month "cloud" services in lieu of an SD card slot. It just sucks to see phones degenerating to less features into Apple blobs these days.
