Sorry but that's blanket statement I don't agree with - Buds Live are for a specific purpose, to hear the outside world and not having something jammed into your ear canal. If you bought them thinking otherwise, that's on you, but they sound fantastic if you figure out how to wear them properly and are much more hygenic in my experience.

I'm not sold on Samsung I gave up my Jabra 65t for the galaxy buds and they keep falling out of my ear. These airpod wannabes including Jabra are not perfect yet.

I have these and I hate them
I also have the bud and they are much better the bud live doesnt sit well, doesnt noise cancel well, sound is weak, after a hour starts to hurt my ear.

Love these, I don't like having my ear blocked... being able to hear my surroundings and also get decent music is awesome

This is my experience as well, by far. I love mine, and have owned buds (which died), buds+, and buds live. I keep the + around as backup and always reach for the live first. The noise canceling works great on sounds the tech was meant to counter—the HVAC, dishwasher, fan, air purifier, and the like. I imagine it would work great on a plane as well for the same reason.

I do wish my voice sounded more natural when taking calls, it sounds thin and weird (to me, not the caller on the other end), so in that circumstance I usually just remove a bud from one ear to mitigate that.

I already have one but ordered another one as a gift! I have Sony, Zolo+, beats and tired three different Samsung earbuds but these are really good, hence another one as gift to share the ❤

Yea I'm happy to know that there are promo codes, but would like to know the source and keep my own tabs on it for future deals.

I have these and do think the biggest issue for most will be fit. If they fit your ears, they are great with one huge caveat.
I think they do have a pretty good sound profile, good volume, surprisingly decent noise cancelling.
And they look pretty slick. So much better than the apple ones that look like you cut the wires off your ear buds

However, be warned that these will OVERHEAT if used in direct sunlight. These are not for outdoors activities in any way. That, for me, is a huge failing and why I so rarely use them over one of my Bose pairs

Yeah, I would be leery of them with a phone that actually has value after that! I was worried with my last trade-in because of horror stories, but somehow I slipped by ok. It was an S7 Edge with burn-in due to some sort of candy-crush game. They didn't bat an eye and gave me the full $200. Great for a phone I got for free! With a $1 or junk headphones, I wouldn't worry either. Can send these buds back to them on their dime; within 14 days.

So..I've got some Buds Live that I love, but my dog got hold of them. Both are dented, one of them holy holds a charge about 10 minutes, the other is fine.

Any idea if I can use them for a trade in?

I guess you didn't read my comment completely, the reason I give comparison to just prove the point is, that comfort and style are pretty much subjective. Out of all the true wireless earbuds I rated Jabra as the worst, but that, subjective, because same Jabra would be best ear buds to some in terms of comfort and style.
I welcome the comparison based on pure technological aspects and its very informative, lets say someone who used both buds+ and Buds live and as per their experience they say that buds+ has better battery life than buds live on moderate use, which would definitely help.

Just to add to this anyone having issues with the fit or just interested. If you call samsung customer service and let them know that the earpiece is going to far in your ear they can provide silicone sleeves FREE that will help with a nice fit that prevents them from falling into your ear. I love them even more with these.Link to official post below.
