I have had this monitor for a very long time. Surprised it is still made. I will say that it is fantastic. I have it next to an IPS 60hz 4K, and prefer this all day long (FYI...color calibrate my monitors with hardware). VA panel contrast is just so good when I compare them side by side. The stand is actually better than most static stands you would see, but VESA requires an adapter that was not included (You can 3D print the adapter [thingiverse.com]). Can you find better, probably, but you will pay for it. You also have to ask yourself if you want to support MSI after their video card controversy (Web search if you are not familiar).

As far as needing more than 100 FPS(Hz)...I can't personally tell a difference between the 2K 144Hz IPS I have (different computer) and this MSI. Also, to get 144 you need a very high end graphics card for most modern games, and good luck with that right now. I am sporting a Radeon 6800 (PowerColor Fighter) on one computer, and an RTX 3070 (MSI Gaming X Trio) on another. Something like Overwatch, or an older game, I can hit 144 with ease, but Cyberpunk 2077...no way.

To me 100 fps is the sweet spot for graphics with good frames. Also, to add a note that is kind of separate from this as many of you may also be looking at a graphics card. I will say that the 6800 flat out spanks the 3070. Not even close. The only time the 3070 does as good or better is with ray tracing. The percentage hit is much harder on the AMD card than the 3070, but I mainly notice reflections only when running RTX, so typically only turn that on for the few games I have that take advantage of that.

Edit: FYI..If you have an issue buying from a company like MSI, urlhasbeenblocked (an American company I believe) makes good monitors for a good price. I have a similar monitor from them as this MSI. It looks just as good, but did take more calibration to get the color right. I think they also have a no dead pixel policy and 3 year warranty. I did email them some questions before I purchased the monitor, and they responded within an hour. So thumbs up to their support.

Edit 2: Read Newegg's return/exchange policy before buying from them. I like to buy from them, but their monitor exchanges (bad pixels, etc.) are very strict. My 4K IPS has one dead pixel right in the middle, and am stuck with it.

Edit: 3: Blind Hz testing. Can you really tell the difference?

Depends on what games you like to play and what hardware you own. Anything graphics-intensive probably isn't getting over 100fps at ultra-wide 1440p anyway.

I will never buy a monitor ......or anything else from Newegg again. I bought the 34" Gigabyte monitor from them about six months ago. It had very bad light bleed so I sent it back for a replacement. They were out of stock so I asked for a refund and they charged me almost $100.00 in restocking and shipping fees. I filed a complaint online and threatened to terminate my account before they relented and reversed the fees. However, I lost all trust in them. Buy from Best Buy, Monoprice, etc.

Yes. For some reason SD will not take the typing of that brand. It thinks it is a bad url.

Do you know why it is censored? Did they refuse to give SD a kickback Wink?

No idea. Last time they removed my post about that brand because it's not a highly rated brand. They think I am representing them and using slickdeals as a way to gain exposure. I'm just another guy trying to find a deal on a curved monitor.. lmao I still haven't bought it yet though. I'm debating beteeen 34, 43 or 49 now...

Sorry to hear. Great company for diesel backup generators for nuclear plants

Not so good for displays. They're the cheapest I've seen by far

Buying them online is risky. I much prefer in store where I can see them as well

Probably quite significant. I accidentally turned my 75hz one down to 60 and it looked very choppy.

I downgraded from 144hz to an ultrawide 100hz. Didn't really feel that much of a difference. Running a 1080ti.
