Does not output display via the USB-c. So cannot use with a USB dock. Need a separate HDMI cable.

Edit- can be used with a subset of docks that support DisplayLink. Those tend to be relatively expensive.

It will depend on your use case however, surfing the net, tackling office work, multi-tasking with multiple apps etc..shouldn't be an issue. This is an 8-core 8-thread processor, the power is definitely there..

Anyone have thoughts on this line as compared to the Yoga? I have the Yoga 6 (paid $550) and for $50 more this has a bigger screen (14") more ram (16gb) larger capacity (512mb) and a step up in processor (Ryzen 7). Obviously spec-wise it's a much better deal @ $600 (even if the screen is only 250n), however, I have no experience with Flex...only ever had Yoga's from Lenovo.

I bought this one when it was on the FP a few weeks ago. Overall, it's an excellent buy. My wife needed it for office work, nothing taxing. I was underwhelmed with the HDMI out. It seems to be finicky. And there's a lag between what's shown on the monitor, vs what's played on the external display. But, the issue isn't strong enough to exchange it for another laptop if it's a hardware defect. I like how lightweight and quiet it is.

I plan to upgrade it from Windows Home to Windows Pro. Anything that's mobile should be encrypted and Windows Pro makes it seamless.

Oh no - what are the chances this happens after the 90 days? Very likely at which point you have to deal with warranty

I have ordered and got this 2 weeks ago. It has all the configuration I need for a day to day use. I had my first computer with AMD Duron processor so didn't hesitate to buy AMD processor based laptop. This laptop is faster than my MacBook Air with M1 chip.
