Does not output display via the USB-c. So cannot use with a USB dock. Need a separate HDMI cable.

Edit- can be used with a subset of docks that support DisplayLink. Those tend to be relatively expensive.

The HDMI port is in the description and you can see it in the first picture on Costco's page. Don't confuse the discussion about video over the USB-C port with the HDMI port.

It was immediately noticeable once I received my unit. I didn't want to get a replacement because the screen was too dim for my liking. The screen dimming curve is very bad and it almost shuts off if you dim it too fast.

250 nits is pretty dim I guess.
Those who are using the most important factor for me is battery life, how many hours with moderate use we can get out of it in single full charge?
I have 5 years old Yoga 14, 14" its bit heavy, I upgraded the RAM to 16GB and chnaged the battery recently still, its running fine, but, battery life I can hardly get more than 2-3 hours and heavy to carry.
In market for X1, HP Septre 13.3" around 2.5lbs.

You can run one screen off of the HDMI port which is 1.4b and it would be powered by the onboard GPU.

The only way to run dual external screens off of this would be to use a dock/adapter product that has it's own GPU in it - such as a dock with a DisplayLink chipset - and plug it into the USB-C port. They also make some USB 3.0 dual monitor DisplayLink docks as well.

It was slightly different:

Newegg:
- Aluminum top and bottom instead of plastic
- 50nit brighter display
- Matte finish display
- USB-C supported Display Port alt mode

Costco:
- Touchscreen
- Glossy display
- Two year warranty

Otherwise for all intents and purposes they're exactly the same laptop.

Hey thanks dude for the explanation and for not calling me lazy. I was in costco today earlier and looked at the laptop before even seeing the SD thread. Had my eye on newegg last night but didn't realize it was sold out today. Someone said the newegg one had bad colors (45% ntsc?) And you're saying this one is dimmer so does that somehow mean the colors will be even worse on this or unrelated?

PC Magazine has a review of the Flex 5 with the Ryzen 5 cpu and it ran for 16 hours in the video battery rundown test. There's lots of factors but with moderate use, whatever that means, you'll likely get 8+ hours of battery life.
