It's $4 cheaper on Amazon. Never buy RAM from Corsair website. It will always cost you more than on Amazon or Newegg.

Never makes sense to me why manufacturers sell direct at a higher cost then the big box retailers. I have heard the reasoning that they don't want to disenfranchise there big retail resellers, but I think they can have it both ways.

But high demand memory, or specialty memory modules are often not available through the big box retailers. So waiting for the manufacturer web site to have a sale is sometimes the only way to get some kind of discount on the less common modules.

I've been looking at a bunch of manufacturer's websites lately and if you find the right deal (like I thought I found here LOL) it's totally worth it to buy from them. Such as EVGA B stock or just using an associate code. Samsung has a decent discount for students on top of their deals as well.

Doesn't seem like a deal to me.

3200mhz 2x8gb C16 ram can be had for $75-80 https://pcpartpicker.com/products...ice&page=1

For $1 more, you can get Crucial E-die which can quite reliably OC to 3600mhz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083TRR...th=1&psc=1

its because resellers like newegg or amazon get a wholesale discount. If you would call Corsair and ask to buy 100 kits or some contract to buy so many kits or however newegg does it, im sure they will give you some small double digit percentage discount. Smaller shops you wont see a lower price because they dont buy 1k modules from corsair every year. So if you check Adorama or beachaudio, even BH u dont see the same discounts.

is it though? I thought some of those kits are now single rank rev B. Either way wont matter if all u need is to hit 3600 at the same cas latency. things matter more once u really start pushing them

B 2 C is a big cost and investment. Most only do B 2 B.
