So you're about almost 500lbs short and that's empty weight on the model 3. With a full load, you are going to go way past that and a full load can add up close to 800 - 1000lbs (adults + clothes + whatever else is in the car). I wouldn't do it.
You can also look at it this way: assume one tire pops.
3 times load 94 = 1477lbs is 4431
That's only a difference of 180. Almost the weight of an adult (read driver). You're at max load already and you can risk popping the other tires too.
I wouldn't do it. Being close to max load also increases wear too.
To make sure this isn't a one time fluke I looked up a similar sedan from one of the most conservative and reliable manufacture the Lexus IS350 F sport gross weight is 3,195 * 1.5 = 5,872.5
OEM tires are Bridgestone Turanza ER33 front tire with the max load of 1,235 back tire has max load of 1,323, using the larger number 1323 x 4 = 5,292 way under your recommendation.
Another bullet point, another post mention his sonata 2020 comes with the tire, so I checked and confirm it does indeed
Weight is 4,354 * 1.5 = 6534 so 5,908 is still under
Another member mention it came on his 2021 Kia K5 AWD GT-Line with a gross weight of 4354 (heavier then the Tesla Model 3) by your math they need tire weight rating of 6,534.

However given the calculations, I'm still struggling to see why it can't be done. You have 1658lbs of human/cargo capacity. That seems like a lot, especially when you consider under normal conditions, you would probably never exceed that load in a model 3. Now I know manufacturers will overshoot the load rating for a variety of reasons, but as long as you're not exceeding the load in this case, tire should perform as intended - as far as I know.
Regarding your point about a flat tire, keep in mind, cars don't float on 3 wheels after a flat. Yes the tire is flat but it still carries some of the load. And even if tire was dead flat, I don't think you're going anywhere, so I wouldn't see why that would be a major issue, even for a short distance (coasting to a stop, pulling over, etc) if the tires were indeed overloaded. Just an opinion. Don't decrease load ratings, and if you want to do it, be mindful of what the difference is
You're right about the floating blown tire however you can't necessarily guarantee that there won't be a large amount of weight suddenly placed on the other tires in that scenario. How much gets transferred over is situational. For me, I'd rather be safe than sorry.
Yes, most manufactures over spec to cover their butts but also it's to consider edge cases. Consider the weight of 5 adults and luggage. Not quite 166lbs but 1000lbs isn't too hard (175lbs clothed NA male adult average * 5 = 875lbs + 125lb luggage . Now imagine a sudden lapse in judgement and you hit a pothole. The full weight of the car "dipping" and hitting that pothole could over stress the tires and pop them.
I'm not here to say no but just to give my opinion on the matter
As I mentioned before, you also face potential premature wear and excessive deformation of the tires that could go outside their optimal shape.
The steepest hill by a fair margin is in Hawaii at 45 degree the next one is 37%, the city don't let you park on those hills for safety reasons. At the maximum angle 45 you will only transfer a maximum of 1.41 (divide one set by 1.41 and multiple the other set by 1.41). Additionally that's static load which is totally different than moving load which are what the wheels are rated for.
I'm pretty sure the manufacture account for all possible reasonable usage condition when they give the load rating otherwise they would have listed them as separate line item. As before if you want to do extreme things with your car why are you getting $110 tires.

Otherwise the tire should be sold as, yes it will fit and support the weight, but don't intend on moving the car. Makes no sense
For example what if you built your own car in your garage or a go kart? Telling me you have to overshoot load ratings by a certain amount to account for regular driving characteristics the average person knows little about?
Anyway rant over. Very little information I found about load ratings other than meet or exceed factory specs. Not that useful
The average person might not know about tire rating but that's why the average person doesn't design them. A team of specially qualified engineers, technicians, etc do.
Why not buy them from a tire store? Most will likely match this. I know Discount Tire will, or in my experience, I've always been able to get them to beat any deal. And I saw on the local Tire Discounters sign the other day that they match any deal, and they include a free wheel alignment.

Physically when a wheel pop all the weight does not automatically transfer to the other tire, it doesn't make any sense. Basic physics actually says that more weight will be put on the pop tires, use Newtonian physics to draw out force vectors to see what I mean.
Again the manufacture does not say you have to use a certain weight rating for tires just that the tire must be able to support up to the gross weight of the vehicle. You mention yellow and red zone, show me a chart that tells the zone. Show me the minimum rating that the manufacture recommends beside the curb/gross weight numbers. Show me an article about over spec tire to avoid blow out. To my knowledge the only way to minimize pot hole damage is to get higher profile tire, more sidewalls means more travel and less chance of damage to the rims.
Like I say to others who use feelings to justify their idea show me some hard concrete proof, some recommendation from a manufacture. I'm happy to be proven wrong but after 12 pages no one has even try.
But again this is on a high end sport car with extreme grip tire you won't be able to achieve it with an all season tire we are discussing, you won't even be able to corner with such force. I bring up the study because it is an extreme case with some of the best car in the world you can't even exceed the rated weight by yourself in extreme condition. No one will run a track day with a full vehicle and all season tire, you will not experience such extreme condition taking a right turn at speed.

This is what you might run on a lightweight sportscar in like winter if you have two sets or year round in places where the temperature gets low. Or maybe on the fronts, and rears would be bigger?
Anyway nothing to say you can't run them on a prius camry etc, but it would be a level of tire above what most fit to those types of cars.
If you have USAA check out the deal they have with Goodyear for 25% off tires. I will pay more for a better tire because driving is very important to me.
I wonder if they would fit
