Stuff like this is pretty good for car interiors if you spilled meat juice/milk etc. Gets it out pretty well.

Haven't used the cage cleaner but the regular stuff works wonders on dog urine smells and stains. Wouldn't doubt that the formula is either the same or similar.

Water can only work on water soluble chemicals. Anything oil based isn't being broken down by the water. You're basically just manually trying to move stuff with the water. The water also kills no bacteria or viruses. You should at least use soap and water to break down oils. But to each their own.

I guess if you want something quick, it seems like an ok price. I personally have a lot of parakeets, and when I do a deep clean, I put them in another cage... And typically have some bleach water sit on a spot for a bit, then scrub it off. Maybe some soap too. But I always make sure to rinse it with tons of water, and let it dry for a few days before returning them to the cage

Wait... people don't just use soap and water or diluted bleach for cages? I've always used diluted bleach (make sure it's the right ratio for your animal's safety!) since it's cheap, easy, and available almost everywhere.

I cannot recommend this brand if there is any wood involved. I used the dog formula when my puppy used the entire downstairs as his bathroom when training, and it couldn't treat the baseboards and trim effectively.
