I got this on sale at Amazon for 176 dollars in July of 2020. It was a killer deal. Have it full of movies already. This is a pretty good dang good deal. I have a 6tb model as well. It has been holding up for about 4 years now. I'm tempted to grab another.

These require power source? I have several 5tb drives and thinking it's time to buy one of these massive storage units.

Yes, you have to plug it in to power. Works great, definitely love mine, have had no issues with either model. Didn't think I'd fill it up in less than year though haha movies are getting huge.
I need the 14tb at $190 to come back or anything larger at the price of $13.5/TB. This is tempting as I am in need of storage soon because my 14TB is almost full, but I will wait for as long as I can.

I'm, with you, got the 10tb when it was around 150, then the 14tb went on sale for 190, was mad lol. I can wait til it goes down again.

does anyone think hard drive deal threads should have "$__/TB"(price per TB) in the titles?
(saves me from having to do math in my brain)

3.5" drives require external power and can't be powered via USB
Suckable and it contains white label drives according to reddit
