I have one of these. They are not particularly fast, especially for a USB-C interface. Most importantly the lock mechanism is weak and comes loose halfway through plugging in the drive, making you wonder why your drive doesn't work.

I never imagined I'd see the day when flash drives switched away from USB-A! Interesting times.

Yes it was strange when my new laptop only came with a USB C port. Got used to it though and it's much easier to plug in
